Subscriptions I Would Like to Try

I will be the first person to admit that life got the better of me and I sacrificed the blog in order to take care of other things. I did really enjoy writing the blog while I was doing it. I also still receive several subscription boxes. That being said, I am going to try and start off 2017 by getting back into the blog. The topic I would like to start the year off with is one that I have written about before: subscription boxes that sound interesting to me.

If you have ever read any of my blog posts from previous years, you would know that subscription boxes are a bit of an addiction for me. I am fairly confident that if I hadn’t become so interested in them back in 2013 (I believe), than my student loans would already be paid off. That’s neither here nor there at this point though. My loans are still there and my subscriptions still make me happy so I just have to come to terms with that so here we are.

The boxes that I currently subscribe to are:

  • Ipsy
  • Luxebox
  • The Soap Box (Fortune Cookie Soap)
  • Love With Food
  • Universal Yums

I think that’s all of them? Yikes, that makes me wonder if there are more that I am forgetting about (like there need to be more, really). I am always searching for boxes that I think I would enjoy, and can afford. One of my problems is that I live in Canada. Not that living in Canada is a problem, I really do love it. However, when it comes to subscription boxes, there are 3 main obstacles for Canadians.

  1. A lot of boxes do not ship to Canada at all. There are tons of boxes that I have had my eye on that just don’t ship up here and it makes me pretty sad. I can understand why they don’t, but I have selfish interests at heart.
  2. When boxes do ship to Canada, there is usually an obscene flat rate for shipping that I am just not willing to pay. Where a box in the US will ship anywhere in the US for free, it costs $20 USD to get it to me. As a note, I am just a 2.5-3 hour drive from the border so that $20 stings even more.
  3. The current third hurdle, that has been in the way for quite awhile now, is the horrible exchange rate. While a price may look good, you get the cruel reminder on your credit card statement that the price was listed in US Dollars. Once that exchange comes through, you realize how much more you had to pay just for living in Canada.

Most of the boxes that I subscribe to are American so clearly I like them enough to take the financial hit to have them. It’s hard to make the decision to take the plunge, though, when the cost can be so high. Sometimes I will gift myself a short subscription so that I don’t have the commitment but can try it out to see if I want to fully subscribe.

I have a previous post where I wrote about the boxes I would love to try. Some of the ones I wrote about in that post were:

  • Naturebox
    • I did have a chance to try Naturebox and I was subscribed for quite awhile. This was one that was quite costly for me with the exchange rate but I did enjoy the snacks a lot. The snacks I received started to become repetitive though and it stopped being worth the money for me so I stopped receiving the service.
  • MunchPak
    • I still have not tried this one but it does still interest me. I have really been into snack boxes lately so there is still a chance that I will try this one.
  • Mystery Chocolate Box
    • I also haven’t tried this one but I am considering it in the next few months. I have gifted myself a Chococurb subscription. They will no longer be shipping to Canada but will be honouring prior purchases so once that subscription runs out, I may try Mystery Chocolate Box.

There were others but there aren’t any others that I have tried. There are some boxes that I’m planning on trying this year or that are newer on the scene than my previous post so they are the ones that I am going to talk about today.

Chococurb

For those who have never heard of Chococurb, it is a chocolate subscription box. There are two different sized boxes you can receive: Chococurb Mini ($20) or Chococurb Classic ($35). The Mini comes with 3 items each month and the Classic comes with 5-7 items each month.

I am so excited to get my first Chococurb box. I really hope that I like it but I am also going to be disappointed if I do and then after a few months won’t be able to receive this box anymore. I will be sure to post reviews of the few months that I do receive though so you can see what my thoughts are.

HandPicked

HandPicked is a relatively new subscription box, with the first box only shipping out in September of 2016. The creator of this box is a blogger named Alexia who wanted to help people discover wonderful new beauty products, thus leading to the creation of her own box! Each month, subscribers will get 5 full sized products at a cost of $39.99 plus the cost of shipping.

This box looks so good to me, with full sized, high end products. This is another box where I run into the obstacle of the exchange rate to Canadian dollars. I would absolutely love to try this box at some point so I will have to keep an eye on it in the future when I have more money. For those of you that can afford it though, I would recommend trying it. I have seen the previous boxes and they look really great to me!

La Boîte à Bonbons

This subscription box is Canadian which is something that I really appreciate. Every month they send 1 kg of assorted candies (you get to choose between soft, sour, or a mix) and it seems there are 4 different types each month. This is a box that is $25 and only ships within Canada so for my fellow Canadians, this is one for us. I am definitely intrigued by this box and I am hoping to try it out in the future.

These are just some of the boxes that are interesting me at the moment. I look forward to getting back on track and getting to write about some of these in the near future!

What are some great new subscription boxes that you guys think I should try? Let me know in the comments!

Hydra-Total 5 Ultra-Even Ritual

Hey Everyone!

I know I haven’t been posting in a long time, life catches up with us and things slip away. However, I wanted to come write a post about some products that I received for free so that I could try them and write some reviews. Just as a note, the fact that I received these for free does not impact my opinion on these products and so everything you will read is my honest opinion.

The products that I received are from a new skincare line from L’Oreal called Hydra-Total 5. There are several different options but the line that I received was the Ultra-Even line, meant to help even out skin tone as well as hydrating, illuminating, and improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

L1

There are four products in the Ultra-Even line: a scrub, a toner, a lotion, and a moisturizer. I have been testing all four products out since I received them and have been able to form an opinion on them now.

L2

First, we have the Ultra-Even Scrub. L’Oreal claims that this scrub will cleanse, exfoliate, even skin tone, illuminate, and smooth. I have been using this scrub twice a day, once when I wake up, and once before I go to bed. I was a little bit worried about the texture of the scrub, since it is finely milled, I didn’t want it to be too abrasive of an exfoliant. This is especially true because for some reason lately, I’ve been breaking out which is unusual for me, and I didn’t want this scrub to be irritating my problem areas.

I have really been enjoying the texture of this scrub! It doesn’t feel too harsh but is exfoliating enough to feel like it’s really cleaning your face. My face definitely feels clean after using it and does feel smooth, although it is still important to make sure you moisturize after using it. I have normal skin that isn’t sensitive to new products so I can’t speak to other skin types, but I am quite enjoying this and think that it will replace my regular face scrub!

L3

The next product that I was sent is the Ultra-Even Toner. This toner is said to tone, remove impurities, even skin tone, illuminate, and smooth. Now, I use toners every day, don’t get me wrong, but I’m not sure they do all that they claim. This isn’t referring to this toner specifically, but rather toners in general. I’m not sure if the product can illuminate and smooth your skin or not. What I look for in a toner, is whether it helps get extra residue off of my skin and out of my pores so that my moisturizer can be more effective.

I have been using this toner twice a day as well, immediately after cleansing both morning and night. I do notice that there is extra stuff coming off of my face when I use this toner so I consider it a success! It does have a scent to it that reminds me of a lemon household cleaner but I kind of like the smell. The only problem is the use of alcohol in the toner which isn’t great for the skin but isn’t a complete deal breaker for me. This isn’t the best toner I’ve ever used but I do like it so I think I would repurchase.

L4

Next up, we have the Ultra-Even Lotion. This lotion has SPF 20 which is absolutely great because it seems like not enough skincare lines place a focus on including SPF. This one claims to moisturize, even skin tone, protect, illuminate, and smooth. I always worry a little bit about the consistency of products with SPF. I find that they can be thick and gummy, and don’t spread or absorb very well. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It spreads nicely, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t have much of a scent. I have been using this only in the morning between my toner and moisturizer and have been quite happy with it. This is another product that I would repurchase.

L5

Finally, we received the Ultra-Even moisturizer which is said to moisturize, reduce dark spots, even skin tone, illuminate, and smooth. This product is quite a bit thicker than the lotion and that worried me a little bit in terms of spread and absorption once again. I don’t like moisturizers to take a long time to absorb because in the morning, I hate waiting forever to be able to put my makeup on. This moisturizer absorbs so quickly though, it was astonishing! I am really happy with this moisturizer, I feel like it has been improving the dryness in my skin since I’ve been using it which is really important since the winter air is so hard on my face. I would repurchase this one too!

I have been making a conscious effort to be using all of these products so that I can give an effective review of them. The only product outside of this line that I’ve been using is my eye cream, and that’s just because this line does not have it’s own eye cream. I have found all of the products in this line to be effective and would repurchase all of them! Like I said, I have normal skin without sensitivities so I would recommend the product to people of similar skin type but can not speak to how it would work for others. I would say this product is definitely worth trying out and it is relatively low cost in the realm of skin care which is great!

Thanks for reading!

Where I’ve Been

Alright, I will be the one to say it. I’m the worst.

It’s been more than two months since I last posted, and even in that post I said I was going to work on posting more. Obviously I’ve done pretty well with that, huh…

Anyways, I don’t have any real excuse for being so absent, I just fell into a bit of a rut and didn’t have the motivation to post. I feel like when I stopped getting Memeboxes, I slowed right down. That doesn’t make any sense though because I certainly have no shortage of things being delivered to my mailbox.

When I was getting all of those Memeboxes, I was posting every other day (which should speak to how angry my bank account was with me). I’m going to work on posting maybe once or twice a week and hopefully that will work out a bit better for me.

I am not sure yet if I am going to post about things from the last couple of months or if I am just going to post the things still coming up. If you want to see some of the things I’ve received since March, leave me a comment 🙂 I look forward to chatting with you guys some more!

Ipsy March 2015

For those of you who don’t know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly beauty subscription service. The cost is $10 per month plus $5 shipping per month to Canada. When you sign up, you take a little quiz about your preferences and details about yourself and they use that to choose appropriate products for you. Each month you will get a beautiful pink bubble mailer and inside is a cosmetics bag with the products inside. The cosmetics bag is different each month which is kind of cool! You can review products and share on social media in order to get Ipsy points which you can accumulate to buy certain products.

IMG_20150312_152203

IMG_20150312_152139

The theme for March was Floral Fantasy which I like and the bag for this month was pretty nice so I was impressed with that. Let’s see what came in my March bag!

IMG_20150312_152226

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cooling Firming Eye Gels

Eye gels and eye masks are such a big thing right now and I really enjoy them. Everyone who got this in their glam bag received two pairs which I think is really great because it gives you a better idea of whether or not you like them. I have already tried a pair of these and I found them so refreshing! These might be my favourite eye gels out of all the ones I’ve tried to date!

A full size box contains 8 pairs and retails for $30, making these 2 pairs worth about $7.50.

IMG_20150312_152244

Acure Day Cream

Since I have so many creams lined up from my Memeboxes in the past, a day cream isn’t necessarily the most exciting thing in the world for me. I would much rather try various makeup products but it is nice to mix it up every once in awhile. I know that I have tried skincare that I’ve received in past Ipsy bags and really enjoyed them so I can’t make a snap judgement. I will definitely try this out at some point.

A full size of this is 1.75 oz and retails for $18.99, making this 1 oz sample worth about $10.86.

IMG_20150312_152335IMG_20150312_152413

Pixi by Petra Mesmerizing Mineral Duo in Apricot Glow

From what I can tell, this little duo was made for Ipsy but I am not 100% sure on that one. I quite like using Pixi shadows, and have a palette from them that I really enjoy. These colours are beautiful and are definitely the kinds of colours I wear on a daily basis. I have such mixed opinions on the colours I get from Ipsy. I have mostly gotten neutrals which means I end up with a lot of single shadows that are near the same colour. However, I wear those kinds of colours and if I were getting blues and greens all the time, I would be complaining that I never get wearable colours. So, that being said, I am very happy with what I have received here.

IMG_20150312_152304

Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter

I remember before I subscribed to Ipsy, I watched through so many videos of past bags. I remember seeing this Chella highlighter in some of the earlier bags, thinking it looked cool, and being a little sad that I wouldn’t ever get it because it had already been featured. Fast forward to this March bag and I got it! I quite like the effect it has, although it can be a little tough to blend. I think the colour is perfect for me and once I get the hang of how much I should be using, I will be even happier with it!

I think this might be a full size of the product, making is $18, but I could be wrong about that.

IMG_20150312_152444IMG_20150312_152507

NYX Cosmetics Butter Lipstick in Pops

I absolutely LOVE this lipstick. First of all, I am a bit of a lipstick junkie these days so I am super happy to have received this in my bag. There were a couple colours you could have gotten. This one, a berry-ish pink, and a brighter pink I believe. I am happy to have received this more nude shade because it is perfect for daily wear. Not only that, but it feels so lovely to wear. It goes on so smoothly and just feels lovely. This is by far my favourite item in the bag!

I’m really happy about this bag! I received quite a few items that I am pretty excited about and everything in the bag will get used so that is a success to me. The overall value of this bag was $46.36 which is pretty good so I would say it’s a win!

If you are interested in signing up for Ipsy, you can use my link http://www.ipsy.com/r/c762?sid=ipsypoints&cid=general or you can check them out without my link at www.ipsy.com

Let me know what you got in your December Ipsy bag!

Fortune Cookie Soap “It’s Easter, For Peeps Sake” Collection

IMG_20150331_204813

I am such a scent junkie and can’t pass up a collection from Fortune Cookie Soap so here is the Easter collection which is called “It’s Easter, For Peeps Sake”. I love spring scents and sweet scents so I figured that this collection would really be something I would like.

Everyone who purchased the whole collection option within the first 24 hours received their products packaged up in this adorable Easter basket type thing which I thought was a really nice touch.

Let’s see all the products from this collection!

IMG_20150331_205312

“Bunny Balls” Cake Pop Bath Bomb

because cupcake bath bombs are so 2014…! :p Buttery rum, yummy coconut, sweet butter cream, caramelized brown sugar, rum liquor with rich maple, creamy vanilla and rich tonka bean.

The packaging on this bath bomb is just so cute. Not that it matters once it goes into the tub, but FCS really puts in the work for the little things. In terms of the smell, it is delicious! Definitely a bakery kind of smell and I can’t pinpoint one smell in particular because there are so many great ones in there. I definitely think that buttery is an accurate word to use for this one though. I look forward to using this in the tub!

IMG_20150331_205239

“Easter Town” Mist Me

An ooey gooey treat of pink sugar with a smear of black licorice.

As far as I know, Easter Town was a scent used in the Nightmare Before Christmas line a little more than a year ago. I didn’t know about FCS at the time but I am pretty sure it was one of four possible whipped cream scents you could have received in the Soap Box. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this one because black licorice isn’t my favourite and I was worried it might overpower the pink sugar.

I shouldn’t have worried about that. I don’t smell the black licorice too prominently, it just helps to off set the sweetness a bit. This scent is light but I really enjoy it!

IMG_20150331_205211

“Bunny Vomit” Perfume Oil

What happens when the Easter Bunny eats too much candy? A colourful rainbow of liquid fragrance…Zesty orange peels and sweet berries topped with a dollop of fluffy whipped cream.

I LOVE the scent of this perfume oil. I am always drawn to super fruity scents and this one does not disappoint. I definitely smell the citrus in this one which I really like because it makes it fresh and light. I will be wearing this one a lot for sure!

IMG_20150331_205149

“¡Grassyass!” Fortune Cookie Soap

Oh! No need to thank us! 😉 Remember hunting for Easter Eggs and candy, in the grass, as a kid! One sniff of this adorable little fortune cookie with it’s unique blend of fresh cut grass & fruity Easter candy will take you right back.

This soap is just so cute. A couple of my little eggs fell off in transit and I just rested them on the top for that picture so you would know what it is supposed to look like. I am okay with that though, not a big deal at all. This soap definitely has that fresh greenery kind of scent from the grass and I love that! I have been really into those garden green kinds of scents lately so I am happy to have this one!

IMG_20150331_205114

“Egg Hunt” Bath Melts

A vintage FCS scent making a return for Easter!! AKA Capitol Diamond (same blend – updated scent description). Cotton candy, and sticky bubble gum, mixed with lemon drops, fresh apples & pears dripping with caramel and raspberry sauce.

Capitol Diamond was always a scent on my possible CYO list for FCS so I am really excited to be able to try it! This is another really fruity sounding one so I think that is why I was drawn to it. I absolutely love this scent as well. I have been a bit on the fence with their bath melts in general because they leave quite a mess in the tub but this scent is wonderful. I really look forward to seeing how that scent is when it’s in the tub.

IMG_20150331_205049

“Belly Jeans” Talkin’ Smack Lip Scrub

Making a comeback – with a twist! If you’ve never used a lip scrub before – you might be wondering what all the fuss is about!! Our Jelly Bean flavoured lip scrub is handmade with exfoliating, pure cane sugar and moisturizing oils – so sweet and super yummy!

This lip scrub is so cute. The colour is adorable and you can’t really tell from this picture but there are coloured sprinkles throughout the scrub. The scent of this is a nice sugary one and their lip scrubs all taste great so I’m sure this will be the same!

IMG_20150331_205031

“Krispy Cream” Whipped Cream

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! We don’t know what Rice Crispy Treats have to do with Easter, and we don’t care. We just knew one thing — we had to figure out a way to use this fragrance, and ASAP. What better product for it’s debut than our Whipped Cream? Two of our favourite things collide.

There were some complaints in the FCS fan group about this scent smelling really plastic-like and artificial so I was a bit worried to receive mine because I had been so excited about the scent. However, I really like this one! It reminds me a little of Recently Deceased which is one of my favourite whipped creams from them and I think this consistency is extra creamy. The colour of this one is really nice as well.

IMG_20150331_205001

“To Dye For” Bath Bomb

Ahhhh finally! The iconic Easter Egg — in the form of a bath bomb!! For those of you that loved Body Shot…here ya go! A mouthwatering blend of muddled raspberries with fresh lemon, sugar and vanilla. Comes packaged and ready to pop in the Easter Basket, with a clear takeout box, Easter grass and a cute ribbon.

Body Shot is another scent I had been wanting to smell so I got really lucky with this collection! I love the scent of this. Lemon and raspberry are two of my favourite fruity scents so this one was a definite winner for me! Once again the packaging of this is adorable and if I was less selfish, it would make a cute gift. However, I am totally selfish so this one is all mine.

IMG_20150331_204931

“Bunny Hop” Bar Soap

Some bunny MADE THE CUTEST SOAP EVER! Srsly. Rich chocolate oozing with gooey marshmallow.

I was so excited to receive this one because the design is just beautiful. It looks so realistic and I absolutely love that! Not only that, but the scent description sounded awesome. This just smells like straight up chocolate and I am not mad about it. It may be a little tricky to use as a bar soap just because of it’s shape but for now, I just like to smell it occasionally in the packaging.

IMG_20150331_204916

“24 Carrot Cupcake” Bath Bomb

Rich carrot cake smushed into thick, sweet, cream cheese frosting.

I’m not a carrot cake person when it comes to my dessert preferences but I sure don’t mind the smell of it. In this one, i can smell the spices that would go into a carrot cake which I quite enjoy. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but there is a cute little Easter egg “garnish” for the cupcake which I just think is adorable. These cupcake bath bombs from FCS have the decorative meringue frosting (this one has lots of glitter on it). Since it is like a real meringue, it isn’t meant to be in the bath so if you throw it in, it may not melt all the way down. I just throw mine away and use the actual cupcake bath bomb portion (just to avoid a mess).

IMG_20150331_204859

“Peep Show” Massage Bar

Peeps. Scented. Massage. Bar. I’ll give you a minute and let that sink in. Ba-dum tisss! Get your skin Peep Show ready with this yummy massage bar, handmade with a luxurious blend of kokum, shea, and mango butters.

I still have a massage bar from the Valentine’s Day collection that I haven’t used yet because I just don’t think to use them as a solid lotion bar. I really need to make an effort to try them out. This massage bar comes in a pair because they are smaller than the massage bars they’ve had in the past. These just have a nice, sweet scent that I really enjoy so that’s awesome!

IMG_20150331_204835IMG_20150331_204840

“Bunny Burps” OCD Hand Sanitizer

Rich carrot cake smushed into thick, sweet, cream cheese frosting with a splash of vanilla.

Last but not least we have the hand sanitizer. Now, I would like to preface this by saying that it has a ton of glitter in it. Usually, the glitter in their hand sanitizers doesn’t really show up on your hands but this stuff does so if you are really opposed to glitter, you may not like this one. This has the same basic scent as the carrot cake bath bomb but with the addition of some extra vanilla it seems. I really like this scent too and I find it pretty mild.

Gosh, I have to say, I just love this collection. I think that the names, the design, the packaging, the scents, everything exceeded my expectations. FCS knocked this one out of the park! There isn’t a thing from this collection that I don’t like the scent and that I won’t use. If these are the types of scents that you enjoy, I would definitely suggest picking some of these products up because I just love them.

If you are interested in Fortune Cookie Soap, you can find them at http://www.fortunecookiesoap.com/ or at their Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/fortunecookiesoap.

Beauty Joy Box March 2015

The cost of this box is $15 a month with free shipping within the US. There is an extra $5 shipping fee to Canada and $10 to ship internationally. Each box ships on the 15th of the month so for those of us in Canada, that means receiving it relatively late in the month (November 24 for this particular month). Each box comes with 1 jewelry item, 1 full sized beauty item and 2-3 deluxe sized samples. Let’s see what came in the February 2015 box.

This will be my last Beauty Joy Box. It may be my last box ever or my last box for a couple of months, we will see how things go. As for now, let’s see what came in this box.

IMG_20150331_204136IMG_20150331_204211

They sent out a new box to try this month and I think it is beautiful. One thing that Beauty Joy is really good at is packing their boxes nicely.

IMG_20150331_204148

IMG_20150331_204548

Gold and Glass Necklace ($12)

Hand blown glass beads with gold plated cores individually made, just for you!

I am a little bit on the fence about this necklace. I do have to say that I love the beads on this one, I think they are beautiful. However, the chain is that fake yellow gold and it is quite short so that part isn’t great. I would happily put the beads on a different chain though.

IMG_20150331_204401IMG_20150331_204431

Bare Minerals Full Size Eyeshadow ($14)

Borrow some beauty from our lady Mother Nature, capturing the pure pigments of stone, seed, and soil. Rich and velvety, these subdued shades, including Java, Cocoa, and Clay let you emphasize your eyes with understated oomph.

I received this shadow in the colour You Can Never Be Too Rich Brown. Although I don’t typically reach for loose shadows too much, I do really like this colour. I think it would be a good outer corner/crease kind of colour and I look forward to trying this one out.

IMG_20150331_204316

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara ($12)

Bigger. Blacker. Badder. Urban Decay’s ultra-creamy, lengthening and volumizing mascara features triple-black pigments and a deeply nourishing ingredient blend.

I am super happy to have gotten this. I received this same sample in one of my first Ipsy bags and I really liked it! I have so many mascaras open at the moment so I won’t be using it for awhile but I am very excited about it.

IMG_20150331_204343

Ciate Nail Polish Mini Pot ($8)

A stunningly beautiful and intensely pigmented nail colour. Made without parabens, sulfates, synthetic dyes, petrochemicals, and phthalates.

I am not really sure which colour I received, which bothers me a little bit because I like knowing my nail polish colour names. Crazy, I know. Anyways, I asked Beauty Joy which colours went out in the boxes and the reds were Hopscotch, Playdate, and Boudoir. As far as I can tell, Hopscotch is a much more orange colour so I’m in between the other two. If anyone knows which it might be, let me know in the comments. Either way, I am super excited to have gotten this. Some people received clear polishes so I am happy to have a colour!

IMG_20150331_204329

Pharmacopia Verbena Lotion ($2)

A nourishing moisturizer that leaves skin smooth and soft. Enriched with certified organic aloe vera and shea butter to nourish and protect.

This is a nice scented lotion, very citrusy and a little bit floral. It is a thinner consistency but I don’t mind that. I like that it has shea butter in it and apparently this is a Canadian company which is awesome!

The approximate value of the products this month is $48. I am really happy with this box, it is probably my favourite Beauty Joy Box so far.

If you are interested in this service and want to check them out, you can find their website at www.beautyjoybox.com or their facebook at https://www.facebook.com/BeautyJoyBox

Naturebox March 2015

Naturebox

Naturebox is an American subscription service that sends out healthy and delicious snacks. There are a couple of different box sizes that you can receive. The monthly deluxe box is $19.95 monthly (plus shipping) and you get 5 full sized bags of snacks. They do have other size options which are: 3 snacks ($13.95 + shipping), 10 snacks ($29.95 + shipping), or 20 snacks ($49.95 + shipping). The shipping for Canadians is $7.95 per box. It used to be $4.95 but the cost went up for some reason when they launched the full site which isn’t the best. With the exchange rate at the moment, the cost can end up being fairly high.

You can sign up for a trial box which is free but you do have to pay the shipping cost. In this trial you will receive 4 different single serving bags of snacks and one full size bag of snacks. After that month, you will be signed up for a recurring monthly subscription but you can cancel anytime. This is my second full size box, let’s see what I got!

Lemon Tea Biscuits

It’s 4:00pm and you’re ready for afternoon tea. Or maybe it’s only 10:00am and it’s time for that pre-lunch pick-me-up. In either scenario, help yourself to these lightly lemony treats. They’re decadent but they’re bite-sized, so it’s easy to portion them into snack-sized servings. Simply add them to your favorite scalloped saucer and serve them with a steaming cup of freshly-brewed green tea.

These snacks are pretty good! They are a little bit shortbread cookie-ish for my taste but they are nice to have every once in awhile. I really love lemon so I am happy that these are flavoured with lemon.

Pistachio Power Clusters

There’s no question that it’s important to fuel up after a workout. And after that intense cycling class? You deserve it. Treat yourself to this substantial snack, full of heart-healthy nuts and seasoned with just a pinch of sea salt. Better yet, toss this pouch into your tote before heading out to the gym – your appetite will thank you!

These clusters are jam packed with nuts and not much else! It makes you feel like you really are eating a healthy little snack. I can’t eat more than one or two at a time because they are so dense but I do like these.

Praline Pumpkin Seeds

It’s raining, it’s pouring, this tasty snack is totally reassuring. Crawl back under the covers, turn on your favorite rainy day movie, and curl up with a bowl of these sweetly crunchy pumpkin seeds. Pumpkin pie-spiced and everything nice, they’ll have you wishing for cuddle weather every day.

These little guys are super tasty! I like pumpkin seeds anyways but the coating on these are delicious. I don’t eat pumpkin pie but my mom said the spices on these seeds tastes just like the seasoning of a pumpkin pie. These have such a nice crunch too, I would gladly have them again!

Big Island Pineapple

There’s just nothing quite like the sweet bite of tangy pineapple. For a sweet ending to a meal, snack on one or two rings. Better yet, get even more creative and halve them to have handy garnishes for homemade tropical drinks. Cheers to that!

The Big Island Pineapple is the product that always gets hyped when people talk about Naturebox. Since I love pineapple, I had to try it and I am so glad I did! It is absolutely delicious! It is still juicy despite the fact that it is dried and it has a nice chew to it. I absolutely love these!

Sriracha Rice Crackers

My apologies for not having the actual Naturebox description for these ones, it isn’t on the website at the moment and although it could just be out of stock, I feel like it may be gone for real. If it is gone, than I am a little disappointed because these are ridiculous. These might be my favourite Naturebox snack so far. I just wanted to eat it all the time. They had a bit of spice with a bit of sweetness and just the most awesome texture. They were gone way faster than I wanted them to be because I was sad that they were gone.

Once again I am so happy with my Naturebox and it is not a subscription I can see myself cancelling anytime soon.
