We’re spellbound by the prettiest pixie, Tinkerbell! Add a touch of glitter to eyes and lips for an understated, yet beautiful eye-catching shine, or go all out and amp up the intensity with sparkle flecked shimmers! You choose! Follow the fairy trent and highlight and illuminate your body and face (minus the excessive shine!) with pearl-based luminizers that give you an enchanting glow! Shimmer and glitter in makeup can be overwhelming, but with the help of our fabulous Memeboxers and Tink herself, we created this Tinkerbell box for all day, everyday wear!
When I originally read the description of this box, I did not plan on purchasing it. The thought of glitter everywhere seemed awful to me. As I re-read it though, I thought that it might be more focused on highlights and at the time I didn’t own any so I decided to pick this one up! This box was $29 plus $6.99 shipping and it was shipped via snail mail since it wasn’t in a bundle. However, the standard shipping time is 10-20 business days and mine came in 11 so I really can’t complain!
If you have not heard of Memebox, it is a Korean beauty box that contains a variety of skin care, makeup, and other beauty products. There are several types of boxes, including: memeboxes, superboxes, nakedboxes, and boxes that are set around a particular theme. The prices vary depending on the type of box that you get and can range from $15-$80 I believe. Most of the regular boxes are $23 and then you also have to pay $6.99 shipping for each box. You have to keep an eye on the shipping dates for each box because it can be months away, that way you aren’t frustrated wondering why the shipping takes so long. Sometimes if boxes are due to ship at the same time, they will have bundles so that there is only one shipping cost.
Sorry about the terrible pictures, I really need to figure out a better lighting/camera situation.
Okay, let’s see what was in this box!
Body-Net Clavi-S Cream 10 g ($8)
A body cream made from a blend of felicately sophisticated and enchanting ivory and gold pearls. Apply it over your neck/collarbone area like Korean actresses do to glamorize their dress-look on the red carpet. The cabbage rose water and allantoin formula leaves skin feeling soft, smooth, and firm as well.
I have mixed feelings about this product. First of all, I don’t really have any kind of occasion where I feel like this would be appropriate (at least in the near future). I don’t get nearly dressy enough to need to shimmer up my cleavage. However, the way that this sheers out to a subtle shimmer is very nice. I was afraid that it would colour the skin as well as add glitter but it adds a nice sheen. If i do end up going to any fancier events, I will have to remember to give this a try!
Rire Pigment 2.5g ($12)
Add instant color sophistication and light-catching shimmer to any makeup look by layering Rire Pigment on top of contrasting eye shadow colors to create a unique multi-dimensional effect, or use it alone for shimmering elegance!
This pigment was randomly chosen from 02 Gold Clutch or 03 Peach Peach and I received 03 Peach Peach. I am quite happy about this because it looks to be the lighter of the colours (as long as it’s the one I think it is in the picture. Before this I did not own any pigments so I was glad to get this. It is not nearly as glittery on the eye as I thought it would be and I am thankful for that! However, there is quite a bit of fallout with the glitter while wearing it so that isn’t the best.
Vivito Blues Shiny Primer 30 ml ($34)
A shimmering fluid primer perfect for smoothing out uneven skin texture and adding that extra gleaming radiance to the complexion. Coat a thin veil of fine pearls and velvety softness to prep the skin and boost makeup adherence as well.
I am happy to have this primer since it is a product I always use. I did just get a primer in my Thanksgiving box so this one will be put away until I have used that one up. I have to say, I am super impressed with the pumps that these Korean primers are coming with, they are so nice to use! This particular primer does feel very light and a little bit will probably go a long way. I look forward to trying it!
Revecen Moisture Shine Lip Gloss 7ml ($16)
Enriched with olive oil, this Moisture Shine Lip Gloss in glittering white and beige creates a colorless yet delicately glittering and plump lips while leaving lips super moist and supple without being sticky at all.
This was randomly selected from 01 White and 13 Sandy Beige, I got the white gloss. I was disappointed by this at first because I did not think that white would work so well. I was happy after I put it on though because it ends up being clear. In the bottle, it looks like it is jam packed full of glitter but on the lips it looks more glossy than glittery which I am happy about. I am not a huge fan of lip gloss because I don’t find it wears all that well but they are right when they say this is not sticky at all! I really like this formula and am happy to have it!
Tonymoly Crystal Tear Glitter Eyeliner #01 White 5ml ($7)
Add extra sparkling glitters just under your eyes (which we call ‘tear line” in Korea) to create a sophisticated yet dewy eye makeup. Tonymoly’s Crystal Tear Glitter Eyeliner comes in a pearl white and it contains panthenol complex for moisturizing and conditioning both your lashes and skin.
This is not a product that I can see myself reaching for all that often. I tried it when I first opened the box and although it is pretty, it is much more glittery than I can pull off on a daily basis. I did try this on the inner corner of my eye and think it is a little too much so I may need to play around with this to figure out how it can best work for me.
Mizon Oh! Shy Glow On Shimmer Light 8ml ($14)
A radiance-boosting liquid highlight in a natural peach coral shade. Oh! Shy Glow On Shimmer Light easily blend onto face for a naturally glowing and shimmery skin!
I am happy to get this since the prospect of highlighters was the reason I got this box. I did just get a highlight in one of the Thanksgiving boxes but that one was a gold highlight and this is a pink toned highlight so I am happy they are different, I will definitely use this! This reminds me a little bit of the High Beam from Benefit which I have been eyeing up for awhile so it’s cool that I can try this one out.
Overall, I am fairly happy with this box! It is probably my least favourite Memebox so far and it is still a good one, so Memebox has got a good track record with me! Including the shipping I paid $36 for this box (although I’m sure I used a coupon code which would have made it cheaper) and the total retail value of the box is $91 which is definitely above what I paid for it. I am excited for the boxes that I have coming soon from Memebox (which there are far too many off, yikes!).
