!!! SPOILERS !!!
If you do not want to know the types of tea or order that the teas come up in this advent calendar than don’t read any further 🙂
For those of you who don’t know, this is a loose leaf tea advent calendar made by the Canadian tea company, David’s Tea. Each day has a different tea flavour that comes in a little tin and can make about 2-3 cups of tea per day. It is my mom who drinks the tea so these will be her opinions about the tea itself. Let’s see what we had today:
Peppermint is said to enhance your dreams. It’s also said to stimulate passion and creativity. Not to mention its fresh, cool flavour and aroma. This peppermint tea is organic, for great taste and good karma. We didn’t want to compromise when each cup has so much potential to enhance your life. (MK Kosher)
Ingredients: organic peppermint leaves from Oregon state
How to Prepare: 1.25 tsp, 96°C (205°F), 30-60 seconds
Since this tea was just made up of peppermint leaves, there wasn’t too much that happened to it during steeping. When the leaves were dry in the tin, they smelled very pepperminty. I like the smell of it because I do like peppermint but mom is more of a spearmint kind of gal so she didn’t love the smell. When it was actually steeping, however, it didn’t really smell like mint which was kind of strange.
Now, once again, if you have read my posts before this than you will know that mom is not a fan of minty drinks. Her first reaction to this tea was that it tasted like you had just been eating a peppermint candy. She wouldn’t buy it since she doesn’t like the minty ones so I think this one might be finding a new loving home with someone we work with. On the bright side, the work friend getting all of these teas feels like she is included in the advent surprises which she likes!
Only one more week of teas, we will see what we get for day 18!
