Pamper a special someone with our new Black Friday Special Editions each packed with 5~7 full sized makeup and skincare miracles all for ONLY $19!!
If you have not heard of Memebox, it is a Korean beauty box that contains a variety of skin care, makeup, and other beauty products. There are several types of boxes, including: memeboxes, superboxes, nakedboxes, and boxes that are set around a particular theme. The prices vary depending on the type of box that you get and can range from $15-$80 I believe. Most of the regular boxes are $23 and then you also have to pay $6.99 shipping for each box. You have to keep an eye on the shipping dates for each box because it can be months away, that way you aren’t frustrated wondering why the shipping takes so long. Sometimes if boxes are due to ship at the same time, they will have bundles so that there is only one shipping cost.
I ordered the Black Friday boxes 1, 2 and 3 and the descriptions for all of them were the same and quite vague so I wasn’t sure what we would get. Let’s see what came in this box!
Lately Memebox has been sending out boxes without cards and have been sending out emails with online information cards instead. This was one of those boxes so you will have to trust that I’m not making up the descriptions for each product.
Hope Girl TinTin Eye Shadow 3g ($10)
Hope Girl’s TinTin Eye Shadow is infused with mineral rich coral and pearl powders and thus adheres tightly to skin without dehydrating the skin, flaking away, or clumping up. It’ll maintain its colour and delicate pearls all day long!
I got the colour BR05 Golden Brown but it could have been BR01 Real Brown, BR03 Purple Brown or BR04 Marron Brown. Although I usually do wear neutrals, I have so many neutral shadows. I would have liked to see one of the more colourful ones. On my hand this looks like a bit of a dirty brown so I am interested to see what it will look like on my eyelids. This is my first Hope Girl product!
Hope Girl Nail Travel Bling Bling Set 09 Neutral Aura 5g x 3ea ($14)
Deck out your nails with this assortment of festive lacquers and appliqués. Keep it chic or sleek with 3 layers of full-coverage glitters. Celebrate with elaborative Hope Girl nails that will get you noticed wherever you go!
How to Use: Apply the colour no.1 to entire nails. When the colour no.1 slightly dries up, apply a thin coat of the colour no.2 up to 1/2 of your nails. When the colour no.2. slightly dries up, apply the colour no.3 only to the end of your nails.
I really love nail polish and I think that these are quite pretty neutral colours that would be great for the winter! I will be interested in seeing how well these polishes wear. I am going to use the red and green polishes from the Christmas box this week so I might try these next week when I do my nails.
Y.E.T Mission Impossible Lip Marker 1.7g ($12)
Highly waterproof and long-lasting, the Mission Impossible Lip Marker glides smoothly and leaves a radiant yet naturally-gradated stein on your lips. It’s rich in avocado oil, rosehip extracts, and macadamia oil, and thus maintains your lips moist and supply as well.
How to Use: Draw onto your lip contours, filling it in thoroughly and blending it with the sponge on the other end of the lip marker.
The colour I got was 02 Kara and the other options were 01 Ruby, 03 Dominique, 04 Tiffany, 05 Mary. 02 Kara is a hot pink but it is a beautiful colour that I am actually quite happy with. I couldn’t wear it to work but I think I can pull this off. I am actually really impressed with the way that this wears. I tried it on when I got this box and then I fell asleep for a couple hours. When I woke up I thought I was going to have a face and pillowcase covered in this hot pink lip marker. When I checked the mirror, the colour hadn’t budged from my lips! When it starts to wear off, it does become kind of patchy but it wears for such a long time. I’m so happy that I got this in my box!
Color Bucket Flash Pop-Up Geller 0.5g ($10)
Color bucket is the new brand launched by Touch In Sol – a very famous Korean makeup brand renown for being in charge of numerous K-Pop idols’ makeup! This ‘Geller” is a waterproof, gel-type eyeliner that comes in 10 different pop-up colours and glides onto your eyelids smoothly with an extremely long-lasting finish.
The colour that I got was 08 Flash Silver but there was also the possibility of receiving 01 Pop-up Pink, 02 Pop-up Orange, 03 Pop-up Mint, 04 Pop-up Blue, 05 Black Geller, 06 Flash Bronze, 07 Flash Gold, 09 Flash Green, 10 Flash Purple. So many possible colours! This colour is actually beautiful and I think it would look really nice for the holidays when paired with a black liquid liner. I’m excited to try it out! I assumed that the sharpener came with this eyeliner but from watching other videos, I think it accompanies the Croquis Eye Shadow & Blusher (see below).
Croquis Eye Shadow & Blusher 06 Shimmer Pink 4g ($17)
When blended in with darker colour shadow and a liner, Croquis’ waterproof, cream-type crayon can create a shimmery peach gradation eye makeup! It smoothly glides onto your eye contours, giving it a nice, silky finish without being clumpy or sticky.
Although I don’t typically wear pink shadows, I think this colour is gorgeous! As soon as I pulled this out of the box, I was so excited about the colour. I have some time off for the holidays so I might play around with this to see what I can do with it. I’m not sure I would wear it as a blush, but I think it could be really pretty as an eyeshadow!
Amini Vitamin Shower Body Soap Bar 120g ($12)
Amini is a brand that emphasizes ‘enjoyment of natural affluence’ within reasonable prices and strives to provide health-beneficial beauty products with only the best and natural formula. This Body Soap Bar works to rejuvenate the skin with its gently and replenishing formula consisting of vitamin-rich rosehip, lavender, and peppermint oils.
I have seen unboxings with this product and I was always kind of happy I hadn’t received it. Well…here we are. It’s not that I think there is anything wrong with it, I just don’t get super excited over a plain bar of soap. I will probably use it as a bar soap for baths but I have one on the go at the moment so for now it is is just stashed away.
Rebom Calming Skin 200 ml ($30)
Rebom’s Calming Skin contains ceramide, niacinamide, and various oriental medicinal extracts beneficial for soothing and moisturizing dry, sensitive skin. Its gently formula also helps maintain the skin soft and supple. In addition, all of reBom’s therapy products are researched and made through a joint research of CNU Laboratory Co., Daejeon University Department of Oriental Medicine, and OBM Lab.
How to Use: Apply the product at the first stage of your skincare routine.
I think that this is a toner, although I’m not 100% on that. This sounds like it could be a nice toner for the winter. I am still using my Skinfood Tomato Toner so I will check the expiry date of this one to figure out where in the toner lineup it will go. Happy to have thi sthough!
Overall I am very happy with this box! Since I had a lot of points and a coupon code to use when these boxes came out, I only paid about $15 for this box including the shipping. That means this box itself was only about $8 for me! The retail value for this box is $105. Even though there are repeat products, I think that Memebox has done a really good job with the Black Friday boxes. I can’t wait to see the Black Friday 2 box because I haven’t received it yet.
