Memebox Seeds & Flowers

Seeds & Flowers

Congratulations guys! We made it through the brutal winds, freezing temps, and cold, cold winter! And now, we’re about to sail smooth into warmer spring season, but as the weather changes, so too should your skincare regime. With the warmer spring season bringing in a mix of gentle breezes and sunnier days, we also invite pollen, dirt, and stronger sun rays to rampage our skin and body! This box is your ticket to gorgeous, glowing skin all year long! It is literally bursting with goodies that will safeguard you from the beauty perils that come with the sunnier seasons – antioxidant-rich seeds to protect and strengthen, and flower-infused cosmetics to soothe and heal, for a glowing complexion that will be the envy of all!

If you have not heard of Memebox, it is a Korean beauty box that contains a variety of skin care, makeup, and other beauty products. There are several types of boxes, including: memeboxes, superboxes, nakedboxes, and boxes that are set around a particular theme. The prices vary depending on the type of box that you get and can range from $15-$80 I believe. Most of the regular boxes are $23 and then you also have to pay $6.99 shipping for each box. You have to keep an eye on the shipping dates for each box because it can be months away, that way you aren’t frustrated wondering why the shipping takes so long. Please be aware that Memebox will no longer be shipping internationally. They will only ship to addresses in China, Korea, and the USA as of February 10 2015.

I got this box in a 3 box value set to get the express shipping. This set was the last order I made with Memebox which is sad. The description of it definitely appealed to me even though we are nowhere near past winter here in Ontario. Let’s see what we got!

Yadah Pure Green Emulsion 120ml ($21)

Packed with rosemary, chamomile, royal jelly, and prickly pear, this hydrating emulsion contains powerful antioxidants that stimulate microcirculation in the skin and help skin to maintain optimal levels of hydration. Chamomile and rosemary enrich this quick-acting formula to soothe and calm the skin, and royal jelly forms a protective hydration coat over the skin’s surface to lock in moisture and nutrients in the skin.

How to Use: On clean skin, take 2 to 3 pumps of emulsion and massage into the face and neck. Use daily, morning and night.

This is my first (and last) emulsion from Memebox. The description sounds pretty nice! Since it is so cold here, I could use some soothing and hydration. I have been using it for a little while now and even though I’m not sure what it’s doing yet, it hasn’t broken me out so full speed ahead!

EChoice Perfume Body Mist Dear Iris 120ml ($4)

This refreshing perfumed body mist lightly scents the skin with the clean, beautifully feminine scent of Iris flowers while providing hydration and antioxidant benefits. The fresh fragrance captures the citrusy top note, floral middle note, and a sensuous base note to lift the spirits! Never overpowering or overwhelming, the subtle fragrance hydrates the skin and enchants the spirits with lovely florals.

This scent is definitely a drugstore brand type of body mist scent, nothing really special. I know they talk about all the different notes but all I smell is the floral component. This definitely isn’t my favourite product but I’ll use it, probably as a linen spray before bed.

Sevendrops Moringa Light Sunblock 50g ($38)

This fast-absorbing, ultra-lightweight fluid provides daily protection against broad-spectrum UVA/UVB damage. Miraculous moringa tree extract combined with antioxidant-rich nutrients and UVA/UVB protecting actives to delay signs of aging caused by sun and environmental stressors. Moringa extract, a beauty essential to ancient kings and queens, was part of daily beauty routine due to its hydrating and repairing abilities. The sheer formula has a silky texture and weightless feel, designed to apply smoothly on top of other skincare products and under makeup for a soft, matte finish.

I received a couple of samples of this in my Boxing Day 2 box but I haven’t actually tried it yet. I’m not sure what ingredients make sunblock good or bad but I’m sure this will be fine! I am still using another sunscreen but I will get to this at some point! This isn’t super exciting but it’s definitely useful!

KSkin Rose Moisture & Nutrition Facial Cream 100ml ($8)

This facial cream is formulated with Bulgarian rose, trelahose, and a range of ingredients that moisturize and brighten the complexion. Bulgarian rose, a natural source of vitamin C, helps repair the look of fine lines and skin discolourations, and provides continuous moisturization by regulating the moisture equilibrium of the skin.

I am not super thrilled with this one. An $8 facial cream may not be the best quality. I know that may sound snooty of me but compared with all of the high end facial creams Memebox has included, this seams sort of cheap. However, cost isn’t everything and this could be some holy grail product. Only one way to find out and I have other creams to use up before this one.

Enesti Rose Hip Oil Foaming Cleanser 120ml ($15)

Deeply cleanse skin and lift away impurities with this luxurious rose hip oil infused cleanser. Powered by the rose hip oil and mineral water, this non-drying formula bursts into a rich lather when activated with water to deep-clean pores, instantly refresh skin, and give you a naturally luminous glow. With gradual use, you’ll notice that skin is brighter, smoother, and younger look.

I am pretty happy with this. I definitely don’t have any shortage of cleansers but I have been happy with the Enesti products I have tried so far so I look forward to trying this. Hopefully it actually is non-drying because I do not need dry skin. I am using my products in order of expiration date so I’m not sure when I will get to this one.

Purederm Lavender Collagen Pulp Mask 18ml ($2)

100% pure pulp sheet-type masks, this famous Purederm Pulp Masks addresses the most common skincare concerns such as aging, dullness, rough textures, irritation, and dryness. When used regularly, this lavender infused mask will deliver deep nutrition and replenishment to tired, sensitive skin and help maintain a healthy, glowing complexion.

I love a good sheet mask! I’ve never tried a pulp mask from Purederm but other Purederm masks that I’ve used have been really nice! Hopefully this actually smells like lavender, it may make for a nice before bed mask! I’m happy to have this.

I am relatively happy with this box! There are a couple of products that I am so-so about but overall I am pleased that I bought it. I paid $25 for this box and the overall value of the box was $88 which is decent!

Sorry I don’t have any coupon codes for you but if you would like to check out their website and make a purchase (until February 10 for everybody or anytime for China, Korea, and US residents), than you can do so at

Ipsy February 2015

For those of you who don’t know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly beauty subscription service. The cost is $10 per month plus $5 shipping per month to Canada. When you sign up, you take a little quiz about your preferences and details about yourself and they use that to choose appropriate products for you. Each month you will get a beautiful pink bubble mailer and inside is a cosmetics bag with the products inside. The cosmetics bag is different each month which is kind of cool! You can review products and share on social media in order to get Ipsy points which you can accumulate to buy certain products.

Since February has Valentines Day, it makes sense that Love was the theme. I think they did a pretty good job sticking to the theme but let’s see what I got!

Pencil Me In Cosmetics Natural Eye Liner Pencil in Amethyst

Mehhhhh, I’m not sure how I feel about this eyeliner to be honest. I’m not opposed to coloured liners, although it takes some experiment to figure out how I want them to look. This purple is fine and I like that there is a built in sharpener. However, just swatching it on my hand felt pretty waxy and like it was pulling at my skin. I’m a little nervous to see how it applies on my eyes.

This is a full sized product and retails for $7.

ModelCo. BLUSH Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini

I planned on waiting until after I had taken a picture of the blush to swatch it but then i accidentally took a gouge out of it with my fingernail, so look at me go! I really like this blush. I don’t really have any peachy blushes so I am happy that I got this one instead of the more pink option. I have worn this a couple times and I really like it! I think this is a nice inclusion for a Valentines Day bag.

As far as I know this is a full sized product and it retails for $22

Eva NYC Up All Night Volumizing Spray

I have heard a lot of people rave about Eva NYC products and although I am not big on hair products, I will give this a try. My hair definitely does need volume because it is super fine and the longer it gets, the flatter it seems to lay around my face. This can be used when your hair is wet or dry and it’s supposed to add volume and texture. This isn’t one that I’m super excited about but I will try it.

This sample size is 1 oz. and is worth about $3. You can purchase the full size (8 oz.) for $24.

CARGO Cosmetics Mini Lip Gloss in Anguilla

I didn’t even think to swatch this one which was silly of me. I did try this colour on my lips and I have to say, the colour is not great for me. It is a white pink, I don’t think that’s an actual way to describe a colour but I’m doing it! I feel like this is the kind of colour that you see on someone who has their hair bleached a super white blonde and even then you think this colour is too light for them. I may be able to put this over a deeper lipstick to make the colour seem a bit better but that may take some experimenting.

The size of this vs. the full size is a little confusing but I’m thinking that this is about half the size of the full size which makes it worth about $8. The full size retails for $16.

Luxie Beauty Large Angled Face Brush 504

Now, onto my favourite item in the bag. I think that the colours on this brush are beautiful and it is so soft! The bristles are pretty dense so you have to be light handed with this one! I am so happy that I got this, love it!

This is a full sized product of course and it retails for $6.40.

Overall, I am pretty happy with this bag! The eyeliner and volumizing spray aren’t necessarily my favourite but I will use them. I love the blush and the brush, and will try to make the lip gloss work. The overall value of this bag is $46.40 which isn’t too bad.

If you are interested in signing up for Ipsy, you can use my link or you can check them out without my link at

Let me know what you got in your December Ipsy bag!

Fortune Cookie Soap ‘Winter Has Come’ Collection

I absolutely love Game of Thrones so I was over the moon excited to get this collection in the mail. Unfortunately, this particular order was not a problem free ordeal for me but I am happy with how things went.

When I received my package, the bottle of linen spray which is made of glass had broken and drenched everything. This meant that the labels had been ruined and covered everything with the dark coloured ink that had run. Also, everything that came in a bag was mostly dissolved. It was a pretty big mess and I was sad about it.

I emailed their customer service and heard back within a couple of hours. One thing that I can never praise enough is the customer service at FCS. They are absolutely amazing and they work so hard to make sure that everyone is happy! They sent out a replacement order and here it is!

Unfortunately, the linen spray bottle broke again. I know this isn’t their fault, but I am still a little sad because I really was looking forward to the spray. I think that the breaking is a combination of rough postal workers and this horribly cold weather. Cold weather and liquid filled glass bottles don’t mix well. Fortunately, they had packaged it in it’s own bag so it didn’t ruin things. My Mist Me spray did leak over some things but it just made the packaging sticky, nothing was wrecked.

Although I am sad not to have the linen spray, I am happy to have everything else so I am still happy with this order! Alright, after that whole preface, let’s see what we got!

“Hodor, Hodor, Hodor” Steam Me Up Scotty!

Hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor, hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor hodor, hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor hodor, hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor: Hodor. Hodor. Hodor Hodor. HODOR! Translation: This earthy blend of bright bergamot and fresh tomato has a quiet innocence just like the gentle giant himself.

I absolutely love the smell of these! Lately, I have been so into garden green kind of smells because they are so fresh. These make me feel like I have my face right up against a tomato plant and I love it. I tried one in the shower and didn’t find it put off any steam really so I will have to experiment to find the best way to use them.

“Iron Islands” OCD Hand Sanitizer

It’s a nice place to visit (we guess)…but we sure wouldn’t want to live there! Tender notes of water lily and apple blossom dance on top of fresh waters, ozone, and salty sea spray, rounded out by notes of sweet sun-weathered sandalwood with soft bergamot.

This scent sounds an awful lot like the Hook scent that I have been wanting to try so badly! I think it is a lovely scent, like a day at the beach. Very fresh! I’m not sure if you can tell from the picture or not but this hand sanitizer is super glittery. Fortunately, only a tiny bit is actually noticeable once it’s on your hands. I was a little worried that I would just have glitter hands.

“Joffrey Dies at the End” Bath Truffle

I don’t always die, but when I finally do (after four excruciating seasons) millions of people cheer and celebrate. A decadent buttery pastry filled with rich peppermint infused strawberries and dolloped with a touch of freshly whipped cream.

Sorry, I had to space that out because I hate when there are spoiler alerts so I want to protect as many of you as I can if you aren’t all caught up! This is such a cute design for a product! I am really liking the scent of this! I would say that the strawberry is the scent that comes across most clearly for me with just a hint of peppermint. I am really interested to see how this one works. The white portion of it is like a bath fizzy and the purple middle part is like a bath melt. Very cool!

“Keep it in the Family” Perfume Oil

Cersei and Jaime…Still a better love story than that Vampire series…A fragrance as feminine, cultured, elegant, and powerful as the Queen Regent herself: a stunning bouquet of sensual burgundy roses, carnations, and white florals with nuances of burgundy wine, sandalwood, and a hint of musk.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one to be honest. I tend to prefer florals that are fresher and on the fruitier side. Scents such as Belle and Inner Goddess are ones that are more my kind of floral. I find this floral to be more musky and powdery which isn’t my particular favourite. I will definitely use it but I have other perfume oils that I prefer.

“Kingslayer” Bar Soap

A wealthy knight like Ser Jaime could have any woman he wants.. so why…??? A spicy blend of cinnamon and clove with warm bayberry, pine, sweet citrus and a touch of fresh green grass.

My first bar of this had no real pattern on it, it was just grey mush so I am so excited to have one with this beautiful design on it. In case it is hard to tell, the top has a crown on it and it is meant to look like it is splattered with blood. Very cool! I quite like the scent of this one although I’m having a hard time picking out a particular scent. I would say it is woodsy and spicy although I’m pretty bad at picking out scents so who knows.

“Moon Door” Linen Spray

Lysa Arryn calls it, “an elegant solution to the problem of administering juctice,” we call it, “a heck of a wild ride to Sleepy Town.” Refined lavender and heavenly hydrangea with hints of juicy pear.

This is the one that broke on me so I actually don’t have it. From the scent that was covering both of my packages, I would say that I would really love this one! I love spraying scents onto my pillow before I go to sleep and with lavender in this one, I think it would have been great! I’m sad but there are worse things that could happen so it’s okay.

“Mother of Dragons” Whipped Cream

When I grow up, I wanna be naked, fireproof, and covered in dragons, too! Creamy french vanilla soy milk, sweet florals, and a nutty almond base.

This whipped cream is a beautiful peachy orange colour that I just love! I am really enjoying the scent of this one. I know that a lot of people have said they smell mostly florals but for me I would say it’s an equal mix of florals with a sweet creamy scent. I really like this one! Although it’s not hard to please me, I haven’t found a whipped cream that I haven’t enjoyed yet.

“Needle” Sugar Scrub

First lesson: Stick them with the pointy end. Okay…but where??? Herbaceous cilantro, tart lemons, and lush green base notes of fresh grass and green tea leaves.

This is one of my favourites from this collection, if not the overall favourite. I LOVE this one. Like I said before, I am into garden green scents right now and this one is perfect! I wish I could have this scent in a whipped cream so I could just smell like it all the time. Not only does it smell amazing, but this formula is phenomenal. I had never tried a sugar scrub from FCS before and I am so glad that I have now! Other sugar scrubs I’ve used had been oily but this is almost like a mousse kind of consistency. I just love it!

“No Middle Ground” Hydrate Me

Win… or die. That’s a little harsh… can’t the loser just buy the brews? Sheesh! A distinctive blend of bergamot, intoxicating gardenia, fresh eucalyptus leaves and lavender flowers wrapped in neroli, and tea leaves.

This is a nice, fresh scent that is mostly herbal with a hint of citrus. There is an overspray of glitter on this which I don’t love for a hydrate me but I’m sure it can be wiped off!

“Red Woman” Fortune Cookie Soap

We’re not quite sure who fathered the scary smoke baby that spewed forth from her lady bits, but one thing’s for certain…whoever he is, he’s braver than we are! Sensual amber, sparkling citrus, and rich sandalwood blended with cool waters and hints of patchouli.

I like this scent way more than I thought I was going to! I thought it would be really dark but I find that the citrus comes out and brightens it all up. Also, the design of this soap is beautiful! The flames look so nice and really suits the theme/description of this one.

“Take the Black” Shampoo & Conditioner Combo Bar

A 2-in-one solution for our favourite crow’s luscious locks, scented with a blend of leather and amber as dead-sexy as Jon Snow himself.

I hadn’t tried any of the solid shampoo or conditioner bars before this one. This is the first time FCS has made a combo bar which is pretty interesting. I’m not sure how I feel about the actual product itself which I hate to say. I have tried it out for a bit and I’m not sure if works the best for my hair. However, I have read in the fan group that people have been using it for their pets so I may try this out on Tucker sometime. As for the scent, it is a masculine scent for sure but I was afraid I wouldn’t like it and I don’t mind it.

“The Hound” Wax Tart

“I understand that if any more words come pouring out your mouth, I’m gonna have to eat every chicken in this room.” Yeah, we’re gonna be quiet now… This exotic earthy fragrance combines top notes of tarragon, vanilla bean, and sandalwood with honey, caramel, amber and a beautiful woody musk with subtle hints of patchouli.

I haven’t melted this in my warmer yet, just smelled it in the container. I kind of like this one, I think it’s a nice wintery scent. To me this one is a woodsy caramel which I like. I will be interested to see what the throw of this scent is.

“The Imp” Mist Me?

“I am the god of tits and wine.” Yep…impin’ ain’t easy. A rich blend of fresh black cherries, white wine, mahogany and teak woods, and a spicy note of freshly grated black pepper.

I find the scent of this one fairly subtle but I like it! I love that they made the bottle look like a wine bottle, perfect for Tyrion! I think they have improved the actual nozzle too because this mist is nice and fine which I really like! I’m super happy with this one.

“Valyrian Steel” Body Wash

We heard of a man who had a razor made of this stuff… he cut off his head trying to shave! A blend of Italian bergamot, yuzu, fresh Meyer lemon and verbena perfectly blended with notes of olive leaf and sweet florals, finished with faint notes of patchouli, white musk, and cedarwood.

I was hoping this would be a nice citrusy scent but it is definitely filled with the deeper scents. I would say this is a pretty good unisex scent. I really enjoy the body washes from FCS so I look forward to using this!

“White Walker” Lip Scrub

So…who’s the super scary “Darth Maul meets Daiquiri Ice” dude? Mmmmm…tingly mint!

This is just a straight up minty lip scrub. Definitely nothing wrong with that, and nice for winter! I love the blue that they used for this scrub, it helps me pretend I’m in the Caribbean instead of super cold Ontario.

“You Know Nothing” Bath Powder

Apparently he knew more than we thought he did…twice! Warm bonfires at dusk, wind-blown leaves, charred pine and cedar accented with roasted marshmallows, brown sugar, and a hint of fresh earth.

I love this! The scent description for this one reminded me of a more nighttime version of Roy G. Biv which I loved! There is a sweet scent to this that must be the marshmallows and sugar but it is almost a tart sweet. I am aware that that doesn’t make any sense. I don’t find the scent comes across too much when it’s actually in the water, but maybe I didn’t use enough. I do love smelling this in the jar though!

“Unsullied” Shower Oil

The few thousand, the proud, the Unsullied. A warm arid blend of patchouli, sandalwood, and citrus with juicy notes of white peach and red mango.

I didn’t even know that shower oils were a thing but the concept really appeals to me. I haven’t tried this out yet but I’m interested to see if dries quickly or if you just feel oily for a little while. Smelling it in the bottle, I don’t smell any fruit at all. It is really just the patchouli and sandalwood which is a bummer. I was hoping it would pretty much only smell like peach and mango. However, you never know what it will smell like on your skin so we will see once I try this if it changes at all!

“What Happens Behind the Wall, Stays Behind the Wall” Solid Bubble Bath

As soon as one man builds a wall, another immediately wants to know what’s behind it. Or pee on it. Men do that, right? An icy mix of spearmint, menthol, woodland moss, and lemon zest with notes of lime, lavender, and fresh water.

This bubble bar is absolutely huge! They did a good job decorating these, you can even see the little pee spot on the end. I think that I get mostly mint and citrus when I smell this one which is nice! I think this scent would be nice if you are feeling a little congested with a cold. There is glitter all throughout this one it looks like so my bath may need a little wipe down afterwards!

“Oathkeeper” Bath Fizzy

This was a bonus product that you could only get if you ordered the full collection within the first 12 hours of sale. We never did receive a scent description of this one but we were told that it is a fresh and clean scent. This is definitely true, it is nice and fresh and I absolutely love it. I am so terrible at picking out scents but I would say it reminds me of a sweet pea kind of scent but I am probably way off.

I also got a couple of bonus products with this order which is always very exciting! The first product I got is the Roy G. Biv Fortune Cookie Soap. I remember seeing this one when it was released because it is so beautiful! The other product I got was the Hair Flip OCD Hand Sanitizer which is a great scent as well. Very exciting!

I am so happy with my order. I think that this is a great collection and they did such a great job with the theme. It is too bad about the shipping issues but things like that happen so it’s alright.

If you are interested in Fortune Cookie Soap, you can find them at or at their Facebook page

ABCDEat Taste of Taiwan Box

ABCDEat Logo

What is Taiwan famous for? Apart from the hot springs and shopping, Taiwan is also famous for their local street snacks. From pineapple cakes, dandan noodles, sun cakes – you name it! Try out our Taste of Taiwan Box now to try out all the crazy and wacky flavours of Taiwan!! You’l surely fall in love!!!

Here is my second box from ABCDEat. This is an Asian snack service that was started by a YouTuber/Blogger named Genie and her partner. This is not a subscription service because it does not automatically renew but you can receive monthly boxes, specialty boxes, and their pouches. At the moment, they are not releasing new boxes but hopefully they will be back to it soon.

This box was $22 I believe including shipping so I thought that I would try it out in the hopes that it wouldn’t be all seafood snacks.

Taiwan Pineapple Cake

This is a Taiwan specialty, and it’s definitely something that you can’t miss if you ever go to Taiwan. It is a soft shortbread cake filled with a sweet pineapple paste with a chewy texture. There are many different fillings nowadays, but the traditional is using pineapple.

My apologies on the lack of a picture of the actual little cakes. I tried to break it to take a picture but I ended up mashing it to smithereens and I thought that wouldn’t work out so well for you guys. Now, I am not the biggest fan of shortbread but I do really love pineapple so I was excited for this one. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t my favourite either. The pineapple portion was really sweet and I found I was missing the tang that pineapple can have sometimes. I will definitely eat this though so it is still a win.

Cute Ya White Chocolate Almond Cookie Rolls

These are bite sized cookies covered in smooth white chocolate, and covered with almonds and coconut powder. These are non-fried. These are perfect to go with a cup of coffee or tea.

I actually really enjoy these cookies. We got 2 of them in the box and I am happy with that because they were tasty. They have a nice, almost wafer-like crunch to them that I really enjoy. With almonds, coconut, and white chocolate I really can’t complain because those are all tasty things! I think I will have my second cookie with a cup of coffee because that does sound like it would be nice!

I Mei Taipei Egg Crisps with Dried Fish Floss (Salmon, Tuna)

Egg rolls are a traditional Chinese specialty, but what the Taiwanese have added to this crispy delicacy is some dried salmon & tuna floss in the middle, giving the egg rolls a different kind of taste – the egg roll is sweet, whereas the floss is slightly salty, and watch how the floss melts inside your mouth, absolutely delicious!

I just can’t do it. I know that in my last ABCDEat post I said that I wanted to be adventurous and try new things but I just can’t do it with this one. However, just because I am not interested in it doesn’t mean someone else won’t be. That’s why I didn’t open this one up yet, in case I found a friend who would like to have it.

Anbao Crisp Honey Cookies

The Taiwanese love incorporating honey into their cuisine, and these crisp honey cookies are one of the examples with honey in it! Honey has a special flavour that sugar cannot replace, and that’s what’s so special about this snack – a crunchy snack that contains both sesame and honey – double tick!

I have to agree that I love the taste of honey in snacks! It is just so yummy. We got 2 little bags of these crisps and I really like them. They have a sweet and nutty flavour that is almost leaning towards the savoury side because of the sesame. Really tasty!

Chiao-E Handmade Brown Sugar Pumpkin Pie

Although the English translation of the packaging says the cake is using brown sugar, but in fact, it actually contains black sugar. It is not very popular to take black sugar, as black sugar is said to be very healthy for the body! These are our childhood favourites – a fried dough covered in black sugar syrup, and these even added pumpkin puree!

Now, I am not one for pumpkin pie kinds of things. I don’t eat it at Thanksgiving or any other holidays, so I was a little nervous about this one. I really like it though! It is nice and crisp which I enjoy and it reminds me of something that I can’t quite put my finger on. Definitely worth a try though!

Playful Naughty Original Quail Egg (Best Before: May 8 2015)

No preservatives added. Quail eggs have said to be very nutritious as they are packed with vitamins and minerals. Even with their small size, their nutritional value is three to four times greater than chicken eggs, so no wonder, the Taiwanese love to eat them! These quail eggs have been soaked in a special sauce for a period of time, so that the eggs harden and turn black – try them to see how bouncy eggs can taste!

This is another one that I can’t do. I can hardly deal with regular eggs let alone black quail eggs. I know that this is just a matter of personal preference, and someone else could really love these!

Cute Ya Strawberry Chocolate Almond Cookie Rolls

These are bite sized cookies covered in smooth strawberry chocolate, and covered with almonds and coconut powder. These are non-fried. These are perfect to go with a cup of coffee or tea.

These are the same company as the white chocolate almond cookies. I find the texture of these reminds me of the cheese snacks I received in my ABCDEat Happy Friday Pouch. I am quite fond of this cookie too. I think I prefer the white chocolate one but I am a fan of strawberry so this is definitely good for me!

I am not sure if the full sized boxes are worth $22 for me. I may try another one if there is a candy kind of one that comes out because I think that would be more of a winner for me! If I order from ABCDEat again, it would probably be one of the $9 pouches so that I could try out a couple of things without it being too much of a risk.

I think that if you like to try cool new snacks, than ABCDEat might be of interest to you! If you want to check them out, you can view their facebook page here, you can find their website here, or you can watch Genie’s video about the service here: ABCDEat Video.

Memebox Collaboration #9 Soothing Sista

Soothing Sista

Soothing Sista knows how to rock a look. Most often found on the streets of San Francisco, she is taking the YouTube world by storm with her skincare, makeup, and fashion tutorials. Showcasing looks for the edgier goddess in you, Soothing Sista, isn’t afraid to take a risk. She’s hand-picked hottest skincare and makeup products of the month straight from Korea, which we’re sure you’ll love!

I picked this box up in a restock and I was glad it came up because it was on my wish list. When this box was originally released, I knew what was inside it and I considered purchasing it but that was before I was really on the Memebox bandwagon. Afterwards though, I was reading blog posts about it and regretted not buying it! I was happy to be able to get my hands on it.

Vicioni Super Aqua Soothing Serum 30ml ($29)

No carbomer, no silicon, no artificial ingredients, and no chemical preservatives whatsoever. It’s true that Vicioni Super Aqua Soothing Serum may smell less than pleasant and not as quick to absorb as that of other brands. However, this is because Vicioni takes great care in selecting only skin beneficial, non-chemical ingredients for its 100% natural formula. It contains high concentrates of ‘caulerpa racemosa’ (also known as ‘sea grape and rich in sea minerals, vitamins, and nutrients), rice bran, hyaluronic acid, mushroom ferments, aloe vera, etc. The ocean will deeply replenish, brighten up, and smoothen dry, dulled complexion.

This sounds wonderful! I don’t have a serum on the go at the moment so I will definitely be putting this to good use. I am a little concerned about the fact that they say it smells less than pleasant considering it will be all over my face. I haven’t used it yet so I’m not sure how it actually smells but we will find out soon enough. Not related to how the product works, I love the packaging of this serum. I think it’s absolutely beautiful! I look forward to trying this out.

Tonymoly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm 30g ($11)

A self-heating steam balm that opens up clogged pores by warming the skin with its blend of sulfur hot spring water and heating agent the more you massage it onto face. Then 3 kinds of scrubs – white salt, charcoal powders, and egg yolk – work to thoroughly remove all blackheads, whiteheads, and dead skin cells piled up inside enlarged pores. Rich in calcium, various minerals, acetic acid, amino acid, and vitamins, it also delivers deep nourishment, control excess sebum, and prevent skin dehydration.

How to Use: Apply the steam balm over nose area. (Make sure to towel-dry after cleansing) Gently massage for 3-5 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water when the translucent oil balm turns opaque. Recommended to be used once or twice a week.

I am definitely drawn to this because I love clearing out my pores. I’m aware that this is a super weird thing to say but I said it so it’s out there now. I’m not quite sure how this works, it is more like a cream or like a grommage kind of peeling action but I am excited to try it out! I have such a hard time deciding every day which types of masks to use and this will just be added to the pile of indecision.

Shara Shara Mineral Capsule Cream 50ml ($18)

This Miracle Capsule Cream is an anti-wrinkle moisturizer enriched with glacier water and nourishing capsules containing 24 kinds of oil complex. Deliver instant moisture surge and supple firmness to dry, tired face as if letting the skin take a rejuvenating winter sleep! It will take care of dry patches and protect from external damages by locking in moisture within skin.

I haven’t opened this because I still have creams on the go so I don’t want to expose this to the air just yet. For whatever reason, the inclusion of glacial water just makes it sound so nice and refreshing. My skin is kind of normal to dry so this will be really nice! I have tried the Shara Shara balm and really like it so I’m sure I will like this too!

Etude House Goodbye Pore Ever Primer Essence 20ml ($11)

Quickly minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines and help makeup adhere better for a long-lasting finish. The silky, lightweight formula can be worn under makeup to fill in uneven skin texture and visible pores, creating a smoother-than-smooth canvas and mattifying excessive oil and shine. Its gently formula consists of both sebum control powder and moisturizing essence component, thus is works to control excess sebum while maintaining a healthy moisture balance at the same time.

I have yet to find my holy grail primer and I am hoping that this might be it! My problem is that I have large pores and so foundations and BB creams settle right into my pores and it just looks awful. Other people may not notice it unless they are right up close but it is on my mind! I would love to have this actually settle into my pores so my makeup can sit smoothly on top. Maybe this is just wishful thinking but we will see how it measures up!

Dewytree Deep Detox Black Mask 1ea ($3)

A facial mask that clarifies skin pores and rejuvenates dull skin with volcanic scoria clay from Jeju Island containing rare minerals. It’s also formulated with charcoal powder, papaya extracts, grapefruit extracts, walnut shell powder, and centella asiatica extracts to detoxify and revitalize the skin.

How to Use: Wash your face and remove makeup and any environmental toxins. Gently unfold mask and place on your face, adjust the eyes, nose and mouth opening. Relax for 15-20 minutes with the mask in place. No need to rinse, massage remaining product into your face.

Ever since I have been involved with Memebox, I have been intrigued by these black masks. They have such nice sounding ingredients in them and people seem to really enjoy using them. I haven’t tried this yet but I do know they look absolutely horrific when they are on your face since the sheet mask itself is black. I find it pretty funny but if you are walking around your house with it on, you may scare your family.

Vivito Painting Matte Finish Lip Stick 1ea ($30)

A 3-effect matte lipstick that smoothly glides on with a creamy texture, steins lips with a highly pigmented, radiant colour in just a single swipe, and leaves lips velvety soft and super matte without being dry and flaky.

I am obsessed with this lipstick. There were 5 possible options: RD01 Sour Red, RD02 Red Sun, RD03 Red Ribbon, PP01 Raspberry Purple, PP02 Orchid Purple. I was kind of hoping for the Raspberry Purple but I got Red Sun. I was a little disappointed at first but after wearing this, I love it! This is a pink toned red and it wears so nicely! It definitely does not feel drying and the colour looks beautiful. I have already been looking online to see if I can get other colours at a decent price. If you know of anywhere, let me know in the comments!

Revecen Blooming Collagentox Sleeping Water Pack 90ml ($18)

A nourishing sleeping facial pack formulated with snail mucus extracts, bird nest extracts, aloe vera leaf extracts, orange zests, Japanese prickly ash berries, pasque flower extracts, usnea extracts, and cypress water. Yellow vitamin capsules will absorb deep into skin to replenish, firm up and balance out uneven skin tone.

I have quite the collection of sleeping packs. At the rate I actually use them, I may never go through all of the ones that I have stashed away. The packaging of this sleeping pack is quite nice, I definitely wouldn’t mind having it sitting on my vanity. There are so many really interesting ingredients in this one, namely bird nest extracts. What does that even mean? Very interesting indeed. I look forward to trying this one!

I am so happy that I was able to get my hands on this box! It sold out really quickly during the restock and some people were refunded for theirs so I am glad that I was one of the lucky ones who got it. I paid $21 for this box plus $6.99 for shipping and the retail value for the products is $120. This is definitely one of the best boxes that I have purchased!!

Sorry I don’t have any coupon codes for you but if you would like to check out their website and make a purchase (until February 10 for everybody or anytime for China, Korea, and US residents), than you can do so at

Try our top mask picks, brimming with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, for an extraordinary skin makeover!

I picked this box up in a restock because I was on the prowl for any mask boxes that became available. This was a box that was for sale since I started purchasing Memeboxes but at the time I didn’t know how much of a mask fiend I am. Now that I know that, I was trying to get as many of them as I could.

That first picture is terrible, my apologies!

Banila Co. Claypatra Mineral Salt Clay Pack 12g ($2.64)

The 100% pure mud extracted straight from the Dead Sea (consists 32% of salt and minerals) effectively removes any excess sebum, oil, dead skin cells, and external pollutants clogged up in the pores. The mineral-rich formula also delivers deep hydration and nourishment to dry, dull skin.

How to Use: Spread the clay pack evenly over clean face. Rest for 10 minutes and rinse off with lukewarm water. Gently massage with your finger tups to exfoliate dead skin cells while rinsing.

I received a couple of these little samples in my Boxing Day 2 box and I have really been enjoying them! I find my face feels so refreshed after I use this so I’m excited to have another little one.

AHC Real Aqua Velvet Sleeping Pack 80ml ($30)

A luxurious, one-step facial to rejuvenate, brighten, and balance out uneven skin tone and texture for velvety smooth complexion. Real Aqua Velvet Sleeping Pack is lightweight and non-sticky in formula, quickly absorbing into dry, exhausted skin to form a protective moisture barrier that locks in the moisture within skin overnight. It contains niacinamide, adenosine, ice plant extracts, snail secretion, and birch tree sap.

This is another duplicate product for me. I haven’t tried this one yet because I am still working on my Mangchee sleeping pack that I started forever ago. Like I said the first time I received this, it seems like an interesting product. People love products that have snail secretions in them so I am intrigued to see how this one works.

Shara Shara Real Sauce Mung Beans Mask 20g x 2ea ($2)

Mung beans have long been utilized as skin detoxifying and clarifying ingredients. They’re highly rich in proteins, vitamins, and dietary fibres, effectively nourishing and brightening up visibly dull, dehydrated skin.

How to Use: Spread the sheet mask evenly over clean face. Rest for 20-30 minutes. Remove the mask and pat in the remaining essence for full absorbance.

If you have followed along with my blog posts, you would know that sheet masks are my favourite skincare product! I am so happy that this box had some and I wouldn’t expect any less since it’s a mask box. I don’t think I have used any Shara Shara sheet masks before so I look forward to trying this. I certainly am not opposed to skin detoxifying and clarifying!

To The Nature Black Rice Hydrogel Eye Patch 3g x 5ea ($9)

Enriched with organic black rice extracts, organic rice bran, carrageenan, gold extracts, adenosine, collagen, glucose, rosewood oil, and more, this Black Rice Hydrogel Eye Patch is all-natural and gentle to dry, sensitive skin. The hydrogel patches visibly diminish in its thickness as the nutrients packed inside absorb into the skin, firming and lifting up sagging under-eyes. Free of paraben, artificial fragrance, and artificial colouring.

How to Use: Place the eye patches under eyes or along the smile lines. Remove after 10-20 minutes.

I have really been enjoying hydrogel eye patches lately. Not only does the gel consistency feel really neat, they are really comfortable to wear. I find that gel masks of all sorts fit so snugly on my face which I absolutely love! There always seem to be gold extracts in these eye patches. I’m not sure if this actually has great skin benefits or if it is more of a gimmick. Regardless, I look forward to trying these and seeing how they compare to other gel eye patches I’ve tried.

Purederm Yogurt Wash-off Pack 15ea ($7)

A wash-off type pack made from yogurt extracts, collagen, Vitamin E, and various fruit extracts. The kiwi pack helps control excess level of dead skin cells while the strawberry pack helps balance out excess sebum and oil, both effective for maintaining a healthy, glowing complexion.

How to Use: Spread the pack evenly over clean face and gently massage. Wash off with lukewarm water after 5-10 minutes.

This pack came in either kiwi or strawberry. I received the kiwi option in a previous box so I was definitely hoping for strawberry in this one and I got lucky! Although excess oil is not an issue for me, I definitely wanted to be able to try out both kinds. This box comes with 15 masks which is awesome! Samples with only one use can either not be enough to figure out how you feel about it, or you will love it and want more. I still haven’t tried any of the kiwi ones yet either but I will start working on them soon!

Inoface Inoface Modeling Cup Pack 15g ($4)

Experience home aesthetics with Inoface Modeling Cup Pack series which comes in 6 different types each catered to target different skin problems and conditions. Chlorella is effective in soothing and strengthening skin’s natural balance. Black Food helps take care of excess sebum and firms up enlarged pores. Propolis delivers rich nutrients, leaving skin moist and dewy. Yogurt works to remove dead skin cells and balance out uneven skin texture. Acerola deeply alleviates and rejuvenates the skin. Peppermint also soothes and replenishes dry, simulated skin for a brighter, clearer complexion.

How to Use: Mix the pack powder with water in 1: 0.8 ratio. Here, make sure to add water little by little until the mixture turns gooey like mud but still thick enough to stay put without drooping down your face. Spread the mixture evenly over clean face. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then remove the hardened pack from the chin in an upward direction. Finish off with a moisturizing cream.

I am so excited to get this in the box! I had my eye on the Ettang Modeling Cups for a long time and this is the same kind of idea just from a different company. There were 6 different possible options for this product and I received the Chlorella version which is to help soothe and strengthen the skin’s natural balance. I am happy with this “flavour”, and I only call it that because I can’t think of a better word for it. However, I would have been happy with any of them!

Even though I knew what this box contained when I ordered it, I am still so excited to have all of these products! I find that with the mask boxes, I will always use all of the products that they come with and I love masks so they are very exciting for me! I paid $20 for this box plus the $6.99 for shipping and the value of the box was $54.64. Not the highest valued box I have received but I will get a lot of use out of the products so that’s what really matters to me.  Very glad I purchased this box!

Memebox Cleanse Morning & Night

Cleanse Morning and Night

If you want to achieve that beautifully radiant Korean glow, removing makeup is ALWAYS more important than actually putting it on! Rule of thumb is, if you spend 20 minutes slapping on makeup, you should spend the same amount of time, maybe even more, cleaning it off! Regardless of your skin type, cleansing is the most important step in the game of Korean skin care! Don’t waste your time running down the aisles trying to find your perfect cleanser because we’ve curated the best morning and night cleansing routine-in-a-box to help you get glowing down to the pore!

Shara Shara Dream of Moisture Cleansing Oil 150ml ($13)

This effective, deep cleaning cleansing hydrates skin while it removes makeup and skin impurities. It provides essential hydration and nutrition for with sweet almond oil, avocado oil, argan oil, honey extract and more healthy ingredients to cleanse the skin’s surface and renew the complexion, leaving it healthy-looking and refreshed. Ideal for all skin types, the non-greasy texture leaves skin feeling moisturized – never tight or dry.

How to Use: Rub three to four pumps into dry hands and massage evenly over dry face. Wet the face and massage until makeup is melted away. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.

I’m excited for this one! Other than the Banila Co. Zero, I haven’t tried any oil based cleansers. I definitely haven’t tried an actual cleansing oil so I’m sure this will be nice. I’ve heard good things about Shara Shara skincare so hopefully it lives up to what I heard.

Yadah Pore Refining Foam Cleanser 100ml ($15)

This maximum-strength foaming cleanser leaves skin tingly clean and refreshed. Formulated with egg white extracts, mineral water, and flower water this pore clarifying cleanser controls excessive sebum, removes dirt and oil living deep within the pores, and soothes and refines the skin. The results? Skin is refreshed and purified! Of course, there’s the added bonus of less likelihood of breakouts and blackheads!

I do have a lot of foam cleansers lined up but I certainly won’t turn a new one away. Especially since Memebox won’t be shipping internationally anymore, I need to hoard my Korean cleansers. The fact that this has egg white extracts reminds me of the Skinfood egg cleanser. I like that one so hopefully I like this one too.

Calmia Oatmeal Peeling Gel 100g ($14)

This exfoliating grommage gel visibly rolls and lifts away dead skin cells when gently massaged onto skin. Its gentle oatmeal and honey infused formula helps to effectively peel away the dead dermal layer to uncover a smooth and fresh new skin! It also removes impurities and decongests stubborn clogged pores for a youth, radiant look!

How to Use: Apply a generous amount on clean, dry skin. Gently massage in a circular motion to roll, lift, and sweep away dead skin cells. Rinse well with water.

I haven’t tried any grommage style peeling gels before but I have heard a lot about them. The thought of my dead skin rolling away is a little strange but if it works really well than I am all for it! I am excited about the honey aspect of this peeling gel. I look forward to trying this for sure!

Bory White Snow Toner 130ml ($35)

This professional toner contains naturally brightening and moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, licorice extract, and morus alba bark extract to help clarify and brighten up the overall complexion. It contains arbutin, which inhibits the formation of melanin, to help prevent pigmentation and dark spots, and also contains propriety Lipidure to hydrate the skin, leaving skin clear, moist and healthy.

On the packaging of this toner it says “professional use only” which makes me a little bit skeptical. Is it too intense and that’s why it’s for professional use only? I figure that if it wasn’t safe, than they wouldn’t send it in a box but who knows. If it really is a professional toner than hopefully it will be really great!

Neogen Neoday Eye Remover Pencil 2.6g ($16)

This ingenious retractable eye makeup eraser/fixer instantly removes all traces of eye, including waterproof formulas, with its innovative double-ended tip. The oil balm tip uses gentle, non-irritating and skin-soothing ingredients to gently erase makeup, while the sponge tip helps to remove all residue and help tidy up around the eyes.

How to Use: First, use the white oil balm tip to gently rub away any unwanted makeup around the eyes. Second, use the sponge tip to remove unwanted makeup residue and finish up your look.

I am intrigued by this product! I think it could be really cool if it works the way that it’s supposed to. I would be a little worried about the oil getting into your eyes when it is in a more solid form but if oil cleanser works to take off makeup than this should work as well!

I was surprised by this box. I was expecting that this would be entirely filled with cleansers which also made me a little but wary because I can only use cleansers so quickly. I was happy to see a couple of other things and cleansers in various forms. I paid $21 for this box plus $6.99 shipping and the total retail value was $93. Not too bad for a bunch of cleansers! I am happy that I ended up purchasing this one.
