Memebox Boxing Day Special #5

Boxing Day 5

We had originally planned #4 as the very last of our Boxing Day Special series…BUT, we simply could not resist coming up with yet another final box before the year 2014 officially ends! This year has been the most wonderful and unforgettable (and hectic) year for Memebox, and we would like to express our sincere gratitude and love towards our ever so fun and loving K-beauty fans from all over the world! For this Boxing Day Special #5, we’ve carefully selected 5 full-sized skin care and makeup products from our previous boxes that we thought you’d love to see again! Enjoy 🙂 P.S. this box does not contain any item that was featured in CutiePieMarzia 2.

If you have not heard of Memebox, it is a Korean beauty box that contains a variety of skin care, makeup, and other beauty products. There are several types of boxes, including: memeboxes, superboxes, nakedboxes, and boxes that are set around a particular theme. The prices vary depending on the type of box that you get and can range from $15-$80 I believe. Most of the regular boxes are $23 and then you also have to pay $6.99 shipping for each box. You have to keep an eye on the shipping dates for each box because it can be months away, that way you aren’t frustrated wondering why the shipping takes so long. Please be aware that Memebox will no longer be shipping internationally. They will only ship to addresses in China, Korea, and the USA as of February 10 2015.

Purederm Yogurt Wash-Off Pack 15ea ($7)

A wash-off type pack made from yogurt extracts, collagen, Vitamin E, and various fruit extracts. The kiwi pack helps control excess level of dead skin cells while the strawberry pack helps balance out excess sebum and oil, both effective for maintaining a healthy, glowing complexion.

How to Use: Spread the pack evenly over clean face and gently massage. Wash off with lukewarm water after 5-10 minutes.

These masks were randomly selected from the strawberry and kiwi option. I received the kiwi mask and I do have these coming in a mask box I’ve ordered so I hope I get strawberry in that box. That way I can try each one. I am really excited about this product. I love masks a lot and this box has 15 mask packets in it! I worry with boxes like this that they will just throw in one or two of the masks but this lets you try the whole thing. Very exciting! If I had to have chosen one of the kinds, kiwi would have been my choice too because I really don’t have oily skin. I would be willing to try it though!

EChoice Wash Oatmeal Body Scrub 110g ($5)

Enriched with world-renown superfood – oatmeal and walnut 0 the Wash Oatmeal Body Scrub is rich in vitamin, lysine, protein, fibre, calcium, tryptophan, and antioxidant components and thus works to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, deep cleanse, and nourish your body all at the same time!

How to Use: Use a body towel or your hands to lather the body wash enough to create bubbles, and then massage gently onto your body. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

Much like masks, I really do enjoy scrubs. This is especially true in the winter when the air is so dry and my skin starts to get dry and itchy. We are definitely at that point in the beginning of February in Ontario so I am thankful to have received this. Not only that, but oatmeal helps with itchiness so that will be a great ingredient for a body scrub!

Dr. MJ Real Mucin Restore Cushion SPF50+ PA+++ 10g ($54)

Normal cushion BBs, when applied multiple times over and over, usually end up ruining the initial dewy look that you started with in the morning. However, Dr.MJ Real Mucin Restore Cushion is closer to a skin care formula than a simple BB, because it’s packed with rich nutrients from snail filtrates and various moisturizing agents for adding more radiance and glow to the skin with multiple applications. Free of paraben, mineral oil, benzophenone, talc, and alcohol.

I have received this cushion before from a Memebox, although at the moment I can’t think of which box it was. I have used the one that I already have and I really like it! This is only the second kind of cushion I have tried and both have been great experiences so I am happy to have a backup for when my other one is finished up.

AHC Real Aqua Velvet Sleeping Pack 80ml ($30)

A luxurious, one-step facial to rejuvenate, brighten, and balance out uneven skin tone and texture for velvety smooth complexion. Real Aqua Velvet Sleeping Pack is lightweight and non-sticky in formula, quickly absorbing into dry, exhausted skin to form a protective moisture barrier that locks in the moisture within skin overnight. It contains niacinamide, adenosine, ice plant extracts, snail secretion, and birch tree sap.

How to Use: Spread evenly over clean face as the last step to your daily skin care routine. Go straight to bed after 10 minutes without rinsing it off.

I feel like I am swimming in sleeping packs lately but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Lately, I have been doing my nighttime routine later so I will get into bed thinking I will get up soon and do my sleeping pack and then I forget and go to sleep. I am going to make sure I am trying to use the one I’m on right now so that I can get through the ones that I have. I am interested to see if the snail secretion in this pack makes a difference.

MStar Malus Intensive Hair Treatment 30g ($14)

Enriched with pure apple extracts, ceramide, panthenol, and 40 different kinds of naturally-derived ingredients, the Malus Intensive Hair Treatment delivers rich nutrition and moisture deep into dry, damaged hair, resulting in firmer, glossier hair ends and healthier scalp as well.

How to Use: Towel dry after shampooing and apply the treatment in throughout hair using a brush or hands. It is also recommended to wear a hair cap and rest for 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water and blow dry.

I think the packaging for this one is so cute and I’m not even sure why. I am interested in seeing if this works well or not. I am using my deep conditioner from Fortune Cookie Soap which I love right now and it seems a little less tedious than this but maybe it isn’t as intensive. The 10-15 minutes of sitting is a little bit off-putting because that means getting in and out of the shower a couple of times. If it works well though, it might be worth it. This is the kind of treatment I see using only ever once in awhile if it is that intensive.

I was pretty happy with this box actually! Only one duplicate product and it was one that I know I like so that isn’t a loss at all. After a code and my points I paid $20 for this box plus the $6.99 shipping cost. The overall value given by Memebox was $110. I am really excited to try the Purederm packs and the body scrub. I had avoided spoilers for this box and wasn’t sure what to expect but I was definitely pleasantly surprised.

Sorry I don’t have any coupon codes for you but if you would like to check out their website and make a purchase (until February 10 for everybody or anytime for China, Korea, and US residents), than you can do so at http://us.memebox.com/

  1. I actually got the Malus hair treatment back in Lucky Box 10 and it came with different instructions back then. At that time, the product card read: Towel dry after a shampoo and apply to hair thoroughly while still damp over damaged parts of hair. Massage with your hands or brush through. Leave for 3-5 minutes. Rise off with lukewarm water. I’ve been using it like this since October and it works just fine! Hopefully this will help you enjoy that a bit better.
