Hydra-Total 5 Ultra-Even Ritual

Hey Everyone!

I know I haven’t been posting in a long time, life catches up with us and things slip away. However, I wanted to come write a post about some products that I received for free so that I could try them and write some reviews. Just as a note, the fact that I received these for free does not impact my opinion on these products and so everything you will read is my honest opinion.

The products that I received are from a new skincare line from L’Oreal called Hydra-Total 5. There are several different options but the line that I received was the Ultra-Even line, meant to help even out skin tone as well as hydrating, illuminating, and improving the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

There are four products in the Ultra-Even line: a scrub, a toner, a lotion, and a moisturizer. I have been testing all four products out since I received them and have been able to form an opinion on them now.

First, we have the Ultra-Even Scrub. L’Oreal claims that this scrub will cleanse, exfoliate, even skin tone, illuminate, and smooth. I have been using this scrub twice a day, once when I wake up, and once before I go to bed. I was a little bit worried about the texture of the scrub, since it is finely milled, I didn’t want it to be too abrasive of an exfoliant. This is especially true because for some reason lately, I’ve been breaking out which is unusual for me, and I didn’t want this scrub to be irritating my problem areas.

I have really been enjoying the texture of this scrub! It doesn’t feel too harsh but is exfoliating enough to feel like it’s really cleaning your face. My face definitely feels clean after using it and does feel smooth, although it is still important to make sure you moisturize after using it. I have normal skin that isn’t sensitive to new products so I can’t speak to other skin types, but I am quite enjoying this and think that it will replace my regular face scrub!

The next product that I was sent is the Ultra-Even Toner. This toner is said to tone, remove impurities, even skin tone, illuminate, and smooth. Now, I use toners every day, don’t get me wrong, but I’m not sure they do all that they claim. This isn’t referring to this toner specifically, but rather toners in general. I’m not sure if the product can illuminate and smooth your skin or not. What I look for in a toner, is whether it helps get extra residue off of my skin and out of my pores so that my moisturizer can be more effective.

I have been using this toner twice a day as well, immediately after cleansing both morning and night. I do notice that there is extra stuff coming off of my face when I use this toner so I consider it a success! It does have a scent to it that reminds me of a lemon household cleaner but I kind of like the smell. The only problem is the use of alcohol in the toner which isn’t great for the skin but isn’t a complete deal breaker for me. This isn’t the best toner I’ve ever used but I do like it so I think I would repurchase.

Next up, we have the Ultra-Even Lotion. This lotion has SPF 20 which is absolutely great because it seems like not enough skincare lines place a focus on including SPF. This one claims to moisturize, even skin tone, protect, illuminate, and smooth. I always worry a little bit about the consistency of products with SPF. I find that they can be thick and gummy, and don’t spread or absorb very well. However, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It spreads nicely, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t have much of a scent. I have been using this only in the morning between my toner and moisturizer and have been quite happy with it. This is another product that I would repurchase.

Finally, we received the Ultra-Even moisturizer which is said to moisturize, reduce dark spots, even skin tone, illuminate, and smooth. This product is quite a bit thicker than the lotion and that worried me a little bit in terms of spread and absorption once again. I don’t like moisturizers to take a long time to absorb because in the morning, I hate waiting forever to be able to put my makeup on. This moisturizer absorbs so quickly though, it was astonishing! I am really happy with this moisturizer, I feel like it has been improving the dryness in my skin since I’ve been using it which is really important since the winter air is so hard on my face. I would repurchase this one too!

I have been making a conscious effort to be using all of these products so that I can give an effective review of them. The only product outside of this line that I’ve been using is my eye cream, and that’s just because this line does not have it’s own eye cream. I have found all of the products in this line to be effective and would repurchase all of them! Like I said, I have normal skin without sensitivities so I would recommend the product to people of similar skin type but can not speak to how it would work for others. I would say this product is definitely worth trying out and it is relatively low cost in the realm of skin care which is great!

Thanks for reading!

Fortune Cookie Soap “It’s Easter, For Peeps Sake” Collection

I am such a scent junkie and can’t pass up a collection from Fortune Cookie Soap so here is the Easter collection which is called “It’s Easter, For Peeps Sake”. I love spring scents and sweet scents so I figured that this collection would really be something I would like.

Everyone who purchased the whole collection option within the first 24 hours received their products packaged up in this adorable Easter basket type thing which I thought was a really nice touch.

Let’s see all the products from this collection!

“Bunny Balls” Cake Pop Bath Bomb

because cupcake bath bombs are so 2014…! :p Buttery rum, yummy coconut, sweet butter cream, caramelized brown sugar, rum liquor with rich maple, creamy vanilla and rich tonka bean.

The packaging on this bath bomb is just so cute. Not that it matters once it goes into the tub, but FCS really puts in the work for the little things. In terms of the smell, it is delicious! Definitely a bakery kind of smell and I can’t pinpoint one smell in particular because there are so many great ones in there. I definitely think that buttery is an accurate word to use for this one though. I look forward to using this in the tub!

“Easter Town” Mist Me

An ooey gooey treat of pink sugar with a smear of black licorice.

As far as I know, Easter Town was a scent used in the Nightmare Before Christmas line a little more than a year ago. I didn’t know about FCS at the time but I am pretty sure it was one of four possible whipped cream scents you could have received in the Soap Box. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this one because black licorice isn’t my favourite and I was worried it might overpower the pink sugar.

I shouldn’t have worried about that. I don’t smell the black licorice too prominently, it just helps to off set the sweetness a bit. This scent is light but I really enjoy it!

“Bunny Vomit” Perfume Oil

What happens when the Easter Bunny eats too much candy? A colourful rainbow of liquid fragrance…Zesty orange peels and sweet berries topped with a dollop of fluffy whipped cream.

I LOVE the scent of this perfume oil. I am always drawn to super fruity scents and this one does not disappoint. I definitely smell the citrus in this one which I really like because it makes it fresh and light. I will be wearing this one a lot for sure!

“ÂĄGrassyass!” Fortune Cookie Soap

Oh! No need to thank us! 😉 Remember hunting for Easter Eggs and candy, in the grass, as a kid! One sniff of this adorable little fortune cookie with it’s unique blend of fresh cut grass & fruity Easter candy will take you right back.

This soap is just so cute. A couple of my little eggs fell off in transit and I just rested them on the top for that picture so you would know what it is supposed to look like. I am okay with that though, not a big deal at all. This soap definitely has that fresh greenery kind of scent from the grass and I love that! I have been really into those garden green kinds of scents lately so I am happy to have this one!

“Egg Hunt” Bath Melts

A vintage FCS scent making a return for Easter!! AKA Capitol Diamond (same blend – updated scent description). Cotton candy, and sticky bubble gum, mixed with lemon drops, fresh apples & pears dripping with caramel and raspberry sauce.

Capitol Diamond was always a scent on my possible CYO list for FCS so I am really excited to be able to try it! This is another really fruity sounding one so I think that is why I was drawn to it. I absolutely love this scent as well. I have been a bit on the fence with their bath melts in general because they leave quite a mess in the tub but this scent is wonderful. I really look forward to seeing how that scent is when it’s in the tub.

“Belly Jeans” Talkin’ Smack Lip Scrub

Making a comeback – with a twist! If you’ve never used a lip scrub before – you might be wondering what all the fuss is about!! Our Jelly Bean flavoured lip scrub is handmade with exfoliating, pure cane sugar and moisturizing oils – so sweet and super yummy!

This lip scrub is so cute. The colour is adorable and you can’t really tell from this picture but there are coloured sprinkles throughout the scrub. The scent of this is a nice sugary one and their lip scrubs all taste great so I’m sure this will be the same!

“Krispy Cream” Whipped Cream

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! We don’t know what Rice Crispy Treats have to do with Easter, and we don’t care. We just knew one thing — we had to figure out a way to use this fragrance, and ASAP. What better product for it’s debut than our Whipped Cream? Two of our favourite things collide.

There were some complaints in the FCS fan group about this scent smelling really plastic-like and artificial so I was a bit worried to receive mine because I had been so excited about the scent. However, I really like this one! It reminds me a little of Recently Deceased which is one of my favourite whipped creams from them and I think this consistency is extra creamy. The colour of this one is really nice as well.

“To Dye For” Bath Bomb

Ahhhh finally! The iconic Easter Egg — in the form of a bath bomb!! For those of you that loved Body Shot…here ya go! A mouthwatering blend of muddled raspberries with fresh lemon, sugar and vanilla. Comes packaged and ready to pop in the Easter Basket, with a clear takeout box, Easter grass and a cute ribbon.

Body Shot is another scent I had been wanting to smell so I got really lucky with this collection! I love the scent of this. Lemon and raspberry are two of my favourite fruity scents so this one was a definite winner for me! Once again the packaging of this is adorable and if I was less selfish, it would make a cute gift. However, I am totally selfish so this one is all mine.

“Bunny Hop” Bar Soap

Some bunny MADE THE CUTEST SOAP EVER! Srsly. Rich chocolate oozing with gooey marshmallow.

I was so excited to receive this one because the design is just beautiful. It looks so realistic and I absolutely love that! Not only that, but the scent description sounded awesome. This just smells like straight up chocolate and I am not mad about it. It may be a little tricky to use as a bar soap just because of it’s shape but for now, I just like to smell it occasionally in the packaging.

“24 Carrot Cupcake” Bath Bomb

Rich carrot cake smushed into thick, sweet, cream cheese frosting.

I’m not a carrot cake person when it comes to my dessert preferences but I sure don’t mind the smell of it. In this one, i can smell the spices that would go into a carrot cake which I quite enjoy. It’s hard to tell from the picture, but there is a cute little Easter egg “garnish” for the cupcake which I just think is adorable. These cupcake bath bombs from FCS have the decorative meringue frosting (this one has lots of glitter on it). Since it is like a real meringue, it isn’t meant to be in the bath so if you throw it in, it may not melt all the way down. I just throw mine away and use the actual cupcake bath bomb portion (just to avoid a mess).

“Peep Show” Massage Bar

Peeps. Scented. Massage. Bar. I’ll give you a minute and let that sink in. Ba-dum tisss! Get your skin Peep Show ready with this yummy massage bar, handmade with a luxurious blend of kokum, shea, and mango butters.

I still have a massage bar from the Valentine’s Day collection that I haven’t used yet because I just don’t think to use them as a solid lotion bar. I really need to make an effort to try them out. This massage bar comes in a pair because they are smaller than the massage bars they’ve had in the past. These just have a nice, sweet scent that I really enjoy so that’s awesome!

“Bunny Burps” OCD Hand Sanitizer

Rich carrot cake smushed into thick, sweet, cream cheese frosting with a splash of vanilla.

Last but not least we have the hand sanitizer. Now, I would like to preface this by saying that it has a ton of glitter in it. Usually, the glitter in their hand sanitizers doesn’t really show up on your hands but this stuff does so if you are really opposed to glitter, you may not like this one. This has the same basic scent as the carrot cake bath bomb but with the addition of some extra vanilla it seems. I really like this scent too and I find it pretty mild.

Gosh, I have to say, I just love this collection. I think that the names, the design, the packaging, the scents, everything exceeded my expectations. FCS knocked this one out of the park! There isn’t a thing from this collection that I don’t like the scent and that I won’t use. If these are the types of scents that you enjoy, I would definitely suggest picking some of these products up because I just love them.

Fortune Cookie Soap ‘Winter Has Come’ Collection

I absolutely love Game of Thrones so I was over the moon excited to get this collection in the mail. Unfortunately, this particular order was not a problem free ordeal for me but I am happy with how things went.

When I received my package, the bottle of linen spray which is made of glass had broken and drenched everything. This meant that the labels had been ruined and covered everything with the dark coloured ink that had run. Also, everything that came in a bag was mostly dissolved. It was a pretty big mess and I was sad about it.

I emailed their customer service and heard back within a couple of hours. One thing that I can never praise enough is the customer service at FCS. They are absolutely amazing and they work so hard to make sure that everyone is happy! They sent out a replacement order and here it is!

Unfortunately, the linen spray bottle broke again. I know this isn’t their fault, but I am still a little sad because I really was looking forward to the spray. I think that the breaking is a combination of rough postal workers and this horribly cold weather. Cold weather and liquid filled glass bottles don’t mix well. Fortunately, they had packaged it in it’s own bag so it didn’t ruin things. My Mist Me spray did leak over some things but it just made the packaging sticky, nothing was wrecked.

Although I am sad not to have the linen spray, I am happy to have everything else so I am still happy with this order! Alright, after that whole preface, let’s see what we got!

“Hodor, Hodor, Hodor” Steam Me Up Scotty!

Hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor, hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor hodor, hodor hodor hodor hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor hodor, hodor hodor. Hodor hodor hodor: Hodor. Hodor. Hodor Hodor. HODOR! Translation: This earthy blend of bright bergamot and fresh tomato has a quiet innocence just like the gentle giant himself.

I absolutely love the smell of these! Lately, I have been so into garden green kind of smells because they are so fresh. These make me feel like I have my face right up against a tomato plant and I love it. I tried one in the shower and didn’t find it put off any steam really so I will have to experiment to find the best way to use them.

“Iron Islands” OCD Hand Sanitizer

It’s a nice place to visit (we guess)…but we sure wouldn’t want to live there! Tender notes of water lily and apple blossom dance on top of fresh waters, ozone, and salty sea spray, rounded out by notes of sweet sun-weathered sandalwood with soft bergamot.

This scent sounds an awful lot like the Hook scent that I have been wanting to try so badly! I think it is a lovely scent, like a day at the beach. Very fresh! I’m not sure if you can tell from the picture or not but this hand sanitizer is super glittery. Fortunately, only a tiny bit is actually noticeable once it’s on your hands. I was a little worried that I would just have glitter hands.

“Joffrey Dies at the End” Bath Truffle

I don’t always die, but when I finally do (after four excruciating seasons) millions of people cheer and celebrate. A decadent buttery pastry filled with rich peppermint infused strawberries and dolloped with a touch of freshly whipped cream.

Sorry, I had to space that out because I hate when there are spoiler alerts so I want to protect as many of you as I can if you aren’t all caught up! This is such a cute design for a product! I am really liking the scent of this! I would say that the strawberry is the scent that comes across most clearly for me with just a hint of peppermint. I am really interested to see how this one works. The white portion of it is like a bath fizzy and the purple middle part is like a bath melt. Very cool!

“Keep it in the Family” Perfume Oil

Cersei and Jaime…Still a better love story than that Vampire series…A fragrance as feminine, cultured, elegant, and powerful as the Queen Regent herself: a stunning bouquet of sensual burgundy roses, carnations, and white florals with nuances of burgundy wine, sandalwood, and a hint of musk.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one to be honest. I tend to prefer florals that are fresher and on the fruitier side. Scents such as Belle and Inner Goddess are ones that are more my kind of floral. I find this floral to be more musky and powdery which isn’t my particular favourite. I will definitely use it but I have other perfume oils that I prefer.

“Kingslayer” Bar Soap

A wealthy knight like Ser Jaime could have any woman he wants.. so why…??? A spicy blend of cinnamon and clove with warm bayberry, pine, sweet citrus and a touch of fresh green grass.

My first bar of this had no real pattern on it, it was just grey mush so I am so excited to have one with this beautiful design on it. In case it is hard to tell, the top has a crown on it and it is meant to look like it is splattered with blood. Very cool! I quite like the scent of this one although I’m having a hard time picking out a particular scent. I would say it is woodsy and spicy although I’m pretty bad at picking out scents so who knows.

“Moon Door” Linen Spray

Lysa Arryn calls it, “an elegant solution to the problem of administering juctice,” we call it, “a heck of a wild ride to Sleepy Town.” Refined lavender and heavenly hydrangea with hints of juicy pear.

This is the one that broke on me so I actually don’t have it. From the scent that was covering both of my packages, I would say that I would really love this one! I love spraying scents onto my pillow before I go to sleep and with lavender in this one, I think it would have been great! I’m sad but there are worse things that could happen so it’s okay.

“Mother of Dragons” Whipped Cream

When I grow up, I wanna be naked, fireproof, and covered in dragons, too! Creamy french vanilla soy milk, sweet florals, and a nutty almond base.

This whipped cream is a beautiful peachy orange colour that I just love! I am really enjoying the scent of this one. I know that a lot of people have said they smell mostly florals but for me I would say it’s an equal mix of florals with a sweet creamy scent. I really like this one! Although it’s not hard to please me, I haven’t found a whipped cream that I haven’t enjoyed yet.

“Needle” Sugar Scrub

First lesson: Stick them with the pointy end. Okay…but where??? Herbaceous cilantro, tart lemons, and lush green base notes of fresh grass and green tea leaves.

This is one of my favourites from this collection, if not the overall favourite. I LOVE this one. Like I said before, I am into garden green scents right now and this one is perfect! I wish I could have this scent in a whipped cream so I could just smell like it all the time. Not only does it smell amazing, but this formula is phenomenal. I had never tried a sugar scrub from FCS before and I am so glad that I have now! Other sugar scrubs I’ve used had been oily but this is almost like a mousse kind of consistency. I just love it!

“No Middle Ground” Hydrate Me

Win… or die. That’s a little harsh… can’t the loser just buy the brews? Sheesh! A distinctive blend of bergamot, intoxicating gardenia, fresh eucalyptus leaves and lavender flowers wrapped in neroli, and tea leaves.

This is a nice, fresh scent that is mostly herbal with a hint of citrus. There is an overspray of glitter on this which I don’t love for a hydrate me but I’m sure it can be wiped off!

“Red Woman” Fortune Cookie Soap

We’re not quite sure who fathered the scary smoke baby that spewed forth from her lady bits, but one thing’s for certain…whoever he is, he’s braver than we are! Sensual amber, sparkling citrus, and rich sandalwood blended with cool waters and hints of patchouli.

I like this scent way more than I thought I was going to! I thought it would be really dark but I find that the citrus comes out and brightens it all up. Also, the design of this soap is beautiful! The flames look so nice and really suits the theme/description of this one.

“Take the Black” Shampoo & Conditioner Combo Bar

A 2-in-one solution for our favourite crow’s luscious locks, scented with a blend of leather and amber as dead-sexy as Jon Snow himself.

I hadn’t tried any of the solid shampoo or conditioner bars before this one. This is the first time FCS has made a combo bar which is pretty interesting. I’m not sure how I feel about the actual product itself which I hate to say. I have tried it out for a bit and I’m not sure if works the best for my hair. However, I have read in the fan group that people have been using it for their pets so I may try this out on Tucker sometime. As for the scent, it is a masculine scent for sure but I was afraid I wouldn’t like it and I don’t mind it.

“The Hound” Wax Tart

“I understand that if any more words come pouring out your mouth, I’m gonna have to eat every chicken in this room.” Yeah, we’re gonna be quiet now… This exotic earthy fragrance combines top notes of tarragon, vanilla bean, and sandalwood with honey, caramel, amber and a beautiful woody musk with subtle hints of patchouli.

I haven’t melted this in my warmer yet, just smelled it in the container. I kind of like this one, I think it’s a nice wintery scent. To me this one is a woodsy caramel which I like. I will be interested to see what the throw of this scent is.

“The Imp” Mist Me?

“I am the god of tits and wine.” Yep…impin’ ain’t easy. A rich blend of fresh black cherries, white wine, mahogany and teak woods, and a spicy note of freshly grated black pepper.

I find the scent of this one fairly subtle but I like it! I love that they made the bottle look like a wine bottle, perfect for Tyrion! I think they have improved the actual nozzle too because this mist is nice and fine which I really like! I’m super happy with this one.

“Valyrian Steel” Body Wash

We heard of a man who had a razor made of this stuff… he cut off his head trying to shave! A blend of Italian bergamot, yuzu, fresh Meyer lemon and verbena perfectly blended with notes of olive leaf and sweet florals, finished with faint notes of patchouli, white musk, and cedarwood.

I was hoping this would be a nice citrusy scent but it is definitely filled with the deeper scents. I would say this is a pretty good unisex scent. I really enjoy the body washes from FCS so I look forward to using this!

“White Walker” Lip Scrub

So…who’s the super scary “Darth Maul meets Daiquiri Ice” dude? Mmmmm…tingly mint!

This is just a straight up minty lip scrub. Definitely nothing wrong with that, and nice for winter! I love the blue that they used for this scrub, it helps me pretend I’m in the Caribbean instead of super cold Ontario.

“You Know Nothing” Bath Powder

Apparently he knew more than we thought he did…twice! Warm bonfires at dusk, wind-blown leaves, charred pine and cedar accented with roasted marshmallows, brown sugar, and a hint of fresh earth.

I love this! The scent description for this one reminded me of a more nighttime version of Roy G. Biv which I loved! There is a sweet scent to this that must be the marshmallows and sugar but it is almost a tart sweet. I am aware that that doesn’t make any sense. I don’t find the scent comes across too much when it’s actually in the water, but maybe I didn’t use enough. I do love smelling this in the jar though!

“Unsullied” Shower Oil

The few thousand, the proud, the Unsullied. A warm arid blend of patchouli, sandalwood, and citrus with juicy notes of white peach and red mango.

I didn’t even know that shower oils were a thing but the concept really appeals to me. I haven’t tried this out yet but I’m interested to see if dries quickly or if you just feel oily for a little while. Smelling it in the bottle, I don’t smell any fruit at all. It is really just the patchouli and sandalwood which is a bummer. I was hoping it would pretty much only smell like peach and mango. However, you never know what it will smell like on your skin so we will see once I try this if it changes at all!

“What Happens Behind the Wall, Stays Behind the Wall” Solid Bubble Bath

As soon as one man builds a wall, another immediately wants to know what’s behind it. Or pee on it. Men do that, right? An icy mix of spearmint, menthol, woodland moss, and lemon zest with notes of lime, lavender, and fresh water.

This bubble bar is absolutely huge! They did a good job decorating these, you can even see the little pee spot on the end. I think that I get mostly mint and citrus when I smell this one which is nice! I think this scent would be nice if you are feeling a little congested with a cold. There is glitter all throughout this one it looks like so my bath may need a little wipe down afterwards!

“Oathkeeper” Bath Fizzy

This was a bonus product that you could only get if you ordered the full collection within the first 12 hours of sale. We never did receive a scent description of this one but we were told that it is a fresh and clean scent. This is definitely true, it is nice and fresh and I absolutely love it. I am so terrible at picking out scents but I would say it reminds me of a sweet pea kind of scent but I am probably way off.

I also got a couple of bonus products with this order which is always very exciting! The first product I got is the Roy G. Biv Fortune Cookie Soap. I remember seeing this one when it was released because it is so beautiful! The other product I got was the Hair Flip OCD Hand Sanitizer which is a great scent as well. Very exciting!

I am so happy with my order. I think that this is a great collection and they did such a great job with the theme. It is too bad about the shipping issues but things like that happen so it’s alright.

Fortune Cookie Soap ’50 Shades of Soap’ Mini Collection

50 Shades of Soap Collection

Eek I was so excited to get this package in the mail! This is Fortune Cookie Soaps Valentines Day collection that is based on 50 Shades of Grey. Now, I never read 50 Shades, I don’t plan on it either. It just isn’t my kind of book, I prefer more of the Stephen King type of genre which obviously differs. However, I do love FCS and the scents in this collection sounded nice so I wanted it anyways. There were a lot of florals with some fruits mixed in which I like so very exciting!

Bitten Lip Scrub

“Bitten” Lip Scrub

“I’d like to bite that lip.” Yea , Christian…we’d like that, too! Spicy warm cinnamon and cool mint…delish!

I love the colour of this lip scrub! It’s so pretty. I tried this one out and it tastes really yummy (even though it’s not just meant to be eaten). It tastes like cinnamon without any of the spiciness. It does discolour the skin around your lips to a pinkish colour so if you get this, wipe or lick it off relatively quickly. These lip scrubs last me forever and soon I will have a third one in my collection so I’m set for awhile!

Hard Limit Massage Bar

“Hard Limit” Massage Bar

What makes you scream, “RED!”? Juicy red apples and lime accentuate the femininity of a fresh-cut bouquet of jasmine, lilies, roses, and violets, all warmed with fresh oriental tea leaves and rounded out with base notes of soft musk.

Now, I haven’t had a massage bar from FCS before but I am thinking that it is essentially a larger hydrate me which is great. I really like the scent of this one. I’m not great at picking out scents so it is hard for me to say which particular scents I am picking up on. It is definitely a mix of fruit and floral, there isn’t one “category” that I pick up more than the other. It has a nice low melting point so be careful if you are just holding onto it because it will start to melt in your hands.

Inner Goddess Whipped Cream

“Inner Goddess” Whipped Cream

Soft, feminine, and powerful…everything your inner goddess should be. Sweet violet and hints of iris and white florals mingle perfectly with vine-ripened watermelon, juicy fresh apricot and the perfect amount of wild berries.

I really like this whipped cream, it reminds me of Bloom Bloom Room (at least the version that I have in a CYO OCD hand sanitizer). It is very floral and I don’t get too much of the fruit. This lotion is supposed to come with a layer of glitter on top so that’s a heads up for those of you who don’t like glitter. Fortunately, mine had only one tiny spot with glitter on it which is okay with me. I don’t particularly want to be coated in glitter so this worked out better for me.

Later, Baby FCSLaters, Baby Fortune

“Laters, Baby” Fortune Cookie Soap

Just your typical farewell after a steamy romantic encounter…no big deal. Sweet, creamy coconut, salted caramel, warm brown sugar and vanilla with just the right amount of exotic musk and cayenne pepper.

I love the smell of this soap! A lot of people said it smelled like popcorn to them but I definitely get the coconut and caramel. It is a very sweet scent and it smells delicious! I am excited to use this one.

Pleasure Bath Bombs

“Pleasure” Bath Bombs

You want me to put what??? Where??? (just kidding! Do NOT use these internally!) Indulgent caramel drenched wild strawberries with a hint of sugared musk.

I love the smell of these bath bombs! They definitely smell very similar to It’s Showtime from the 2014 Halloween collection. The strawberry comes out as the main scent and I love it! These are absolutely coated in glitter, just as a heads up. I haven’t used these yet so I’m not sure what kind of mess the glitter will make in the tub. I know that when I used the There’s No Place Like Home bath bomb sample, I found glitter on myself for days so I assume it will be just like that.

Red Room Body Wash

“The Red Room” Body Wash

Christian Grey in jeans, and nowhere to run. What else is there to say? Seductive notes of sensual amber, musk, and vanilla with juicy tart berries, hints of warm sandalwood and fluffy sweet marshmallows.

This is my first body wash from Fortune Cookie Soap and I quite enjoy it. The lather on this is nice although the scent is subtle. It isn’t my favourite scent in the collection, I have to say. That’s not to say that I don’t like it, I just prefer other scents to this one. I was hoping that this would just smell like berry and marshmallows but I definitely smell the amber and musk for the most part. It is nice though.

Twitchy Palm OCDTwitchy Palm OCD Back

“Twitchy Palm” OCD Hand Sanitizer

You know… we make a cream for that… A dreamy blend of soft pink petals, juicy watermelon, bright lemon, creamy blonde woods, and vanilla bean chiffon, rounded out with hints of sweet southern sugar.

I LOVE the smell of this hand sanitizer. It might be one of my favourite hand sanitizers from FCS that I have tried so far. The watermelon and lemon are the scents that I pick out the most. This one is another product that is packed full of glitter. However, when you actually rub it in, there isn’t a detectable glitter on your hands (thank goodness!). I have more hand sanitizer than I know what to do with but I am still excited about this one.

Vanilla Linen Spray

“Vanilla” Linen Spray

Say my name! Wait…who’s Steve? As far from traditional vanilla as you can get, we’ve blended your favourite bean with Sicilian lemon and orange zest, bright verbena, heady sweet jasmine, and just a touch of amber, musk, woods, and creamy heliotrope.

I am glad that they have linen sprays. Before this, I was using their personal space sprays on my pillow right before bed every night. I conveniently finished my last bottle the night before this package came so that was awesome. This is a very subtle scent. I had read in the Facebook fan page for FCS that some people weren’t picking up a scent at all. I can smell it a little bit but it’s only when I shove my face right into the pillow. It’s the citrus that I get the most which I am happy about because I didn’t want this to be too musky. As another side note, this came in a frosted glass bottle that is beautiful! I am impressed with the new packaging!

I am really happy with this collection! Even though the theme does nothing for me, I am happy with the products and the scents. I haven’t been disappointed by FCS yet and I don’t see it happening anytime soon. Coming up next is their “Winter Has Come” collection which is based on Game of Thrones. I have already ordered this and I am so excited to receive it!

Give Me More Lip

Give Me More Lip

Today I will be reviewing the Give Me More Lip holiday set from Sephora. This was something I had wanted for Christmas and was fortunate enough to receive it! I have an insane amount of lip products already but I wasn’t going to let that stop me!

Give Me More Lip Open

This set is just beautiful! It comes with 17 lip products from well known brands that are deluxe sized and there is supposed to even be one full sized product included. The colours are organized into nudes, pinks, berries, and reds. I do have to say that trying to swatch these onto my lips was tough because some of the colours wanted to stain. In the process of constantly wiping off lip colours, all the makeup around my mouth was wiped away too so just ignore how atrocious that looks! Let’s see what these colours were like!

Too Faced Nude Swatch

Too Faced Nude

Too Faced La Crème Colour Drenched Lip Cream in Naked Dolly (0.05 oz)

Alrighty, let’s start off with our first nude which is from Too Faced! This colour is described on Sephora as a satin pink. The formula for these lipsticks are supposed to be rich and creamy and are infused with moisturizing and strengthening benefits. The full size of this product is $26 and is 0.11 oz making this worth about $11.80. Holy moly! I don’t typically wear colours that are really nude but I don’t mind this! The formula really is creamy so I will be interested to see how long it lasts on the lips.

Bare Minerals Nude Swatch

Bare Minerals Nude

bareMinerals Mini Marvelous Moxie Lipstick in Speak Your Mind (0.05 oz)

I LOVE this colour. I got this on Christmas day and it was the colour I decided to wear that same day. This colour is described by Sephora as a bubblegum pink which I do agree with but I think it is a subdued kind of colour. Most bubblegum pinks I look at and kind of cringe but this is absolutely beautiful. It is perfect to wear with a more made up eye look. This formula is supposed to be creamy and ultra-pigmented with a rich satin finish. The full size of this product is $23 for 0.12 oz making this mini version worth about $9.58. I think I would pay full size for this product!

Laura Mercier Nude Swatch

Laura Mercier Nude

Laura Mercier Lip GlacĂŠ in Blush (0.10 oz)

This colour is described as being a medium rose brown, but it comes across a bit lighter on my lips than it looks in the tube. These are meant to be sheer so that they can be worn alone or layered on top of another lip colour. I do like this colour and think I will wear it for sure! The full size of this is $29 for 0.15 oz making this worth $19.33. This is almost a full size itself so that is awesome!

Stila Nude Swatch Stila Nude

Stila Cosmetics Stay All Day Vinyl Lip Gloss in Nude Vinyl (0.04 oz)

This colour is so pigmented, I don’t think I have ever seen a gloss that goes on with such an opaque colouring. The brush has quite a bit of flexibility which I like, and it is very soft. This colour is described as a medium pink nude which I think is quite accurate! These glosses are meant to be very glossy and shiny and are meant to look like you have a lipstick on. The full size of this is 0.14 oz and retails for $32 making this worth about $9.14. I look forward to using this!

Makeup Forever Nude Swatch Makeup Forever Nude

Make Up For Ever Waterproof Lipliner Pencil in 3C Medium Neutral Beige (0.025 oz)

This colour is described as a medium nude beige and is said to be creamy, non-transferable and long lasting. I actually was more fond of this colour on my lips than I was just looking at the pencil. I am quite fair so colours that are too beige can look kind of funny on me. However, I think this would be great with a gloss or a lipstick over top! The full size of this product is 0.04 oz and retails for $23 making this pencil worth about $14.38. That seems crazy to me because it isn’t too big but I guess pencils can last a long time.

Tarte Pink Swatch Tarte Pink

Tarte LipSurgence Power Pigment in Flush (0.04 oz)

This colour is absolutely beautiful! I can’t stop looking at it. I feel like this is almost a berry-ish kind of pink and it is actually described by Sephora as a sheer berry. These lip tints are supposed to be moisturizing and provide bold colour. I absolutely can not wait to wear this out and about! This is actually a full size product and it retails for $29! Amazing! If this is as good as it seems, I may need to try other colours in the line.

Posie Balm Pink Swatch Posie Balm Pink

Benefit Cosmetics Posiebalm Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm (0.1 oz)

This colour is described as a poppy pink. It is a really sheer wash of colour that is quite hydrating while providing a slight tint. I think this will be nice for when you want to have a little sheen to your lips but don’t want to wear anything heavy. These are meant to be sheer so I am glad that was their intention! The full size of this product is 0.10 oz and retails for $22 making this teeny sample worth about $2.20. I don’t think this one will last me too long at all.

Bite Pink Swatch Bite Pink

Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick in Palomino (0.07 oz)

This colour is absolutely gorgeous! I keep wanting to describe it as a raspberry watermelon kind of colour, so it obviously makes me think of the summer! It is described on Sephora as a vibrant magenta which I definitely will not argue with. These colours are meant to be moisturizing and long-lasting. I am so excited to wear this colour! The full size of this retails for $28 and is 0.15 oz making this sample worth about $13.08. This is another one that I could see myself purchasing the full size if I like it!

Too Faced Pink Swatch Too Faced Pink

Too Faced Melted Liquefied Long Wear Lipstick in Fuchsia (0.16 oz)

I have heard so much about the Melted Lipsticks from people on Youtube and from various blogs. I was so happy to be able to try it. This is such a pretty colour, I think it would be perfect for the spring and summer! This is described as a hot pink and that it is. If I like the formula of this, there are definitely other colours I would like to try. This does feel a little wet so I will be interested to see if it lives up to the promise of having “staying power”. The full size is 0.4 oz and retails for $25 making this version of it worth about $10.

Sugar Berry Swatch Sugar Berry

Fresh Sugar Berry Tinted Lip Treatment (0.08 oz)

This is a lip treatment that is meant to nourish, protect, and plump the lips. It also has SPF 15 which is really nice because we need to remember to protect our lips from the sun too! This is described as a bold flirty berry, but I do find it a little bit subtle which I like. It can be a little uneven in the application so it just takes a little bit more time to make sure it looks smooth. The full size of this is 0.15 oz and retails for $26 making this worth about $13.83.

Buxom Berry Swatch Buxom Berry

Buxom Mini Full-Bodied Lipstick in Menace (0.04 oz)

This is an absolutely beautiful colour! It is described as a rich wine colour and it is actually sold out in this colour on Sephora so it must be a popular one. I think this will be so pretty for the winter! I didn’t really have any berry colours before receiving this set so I am so happy to have this colour! The full size is 0.13 oz and retails for $26 making this mini version worth about $8.

Tarte Berry Swatch Tarte berry

Tarte LipSurgence Lip Tint in Moody (0.06 oz)

If I had to describe this as a kind of berry colour, I guess I would have to say it’s more of a strawberry or cranberry type. I am happy to have a berry that isn’t so deep though because it is nice to have some variation in your lip products. This is described as a deep berry on Sephora which I don’t quite agree with but that is alright. These are meant to be moisturizing lip stains that give a natural flush to your lips. The full size is 0.1 oz and retails for $29 making this mini worth about $17.37.

OCC Lip Tar Swatch OCC Lip Tar Berry

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Black Dahlia Lip Tar: Matte Test Tube (0.08 oz)

I have heard a lot about the Lip Tars and to be honest, the colour of this scared me a little bit. When it first comes out of the tube it looks black, but it can definitely be sheered out and I really like it! This one also came with its own little lip brush which I really like because not everyone has lip brushes. This is meant to be matte but I didn’t wear it long enough to see if it does become matte or not. When I first put it on, it does seem relatively glossy so I will be interested to see that. This is described as “blackest blackened red” (terrifying!) and it is another one that is sold out online. The full size is 0.33 oz and retails for $22 making this one worth about $5.33. A little bit goes a long way with this one so it may last me quite awhile!

Sephora Red Swatch Sephora Red

Sephora Collection Rouge Infusion in 10 Red Essence (0.068 oz)

This is my first Sephora brand lip product so I am happy to try it! The formula for these is supposed to have no texture and should leave the lips soft with intense colour and no sticky residue. This colour is more of a brick red than I thought it was going to be but I like it! I will definitely be interested in trying it when I can take more time to apply (and when I’m not rushing so that I don’t stain my lips). When I swatched this on my hand briefly, it did leave a stain so I hope it works the same on my lips. The full size is $18 for 0.152 oz making this worth about $8.04.

Laura Mercier Red Swatch Laura Mercier Red

Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Lip Colour in Red Amour (0.09 oz)

Red Amour is described as a classic neutral red. The formula is supposed to be medium-to-full coverage that they claim will last 6-8 hours. I am very interested in seeing how long it really will last! I do like this colour and I think it will be nice this winter! The full size is 0.14 oz and retails for $32 making this deluxe size worth about $20.51.

Hourglass Red Swatch Hourglass Red

Hourglass Opaque Rouge Liquid Lipstick in Icon (0.03 oz)

Please excuse the actual application of this one. At this point I had put so many colours on, I was really rushing because I was afraid they were all going to stain my lips. This definitely is an opaque colour and I really like it! This is another one (like the Stila) that has a very soft and pliable applicator which I like! This claims to be matte and delivers 14 hours of continuous wear without smudging or dryness. 14 hours?! I will believe that when I see it, but I really hope it lives up to that. This is actually a travel size that they sell which retails for $12 so that is awesome!

Kat Von D Red Swatch Kat Von D Red

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw (0.10 oz)

For the last colour of the bunch we have a very opaque Kat Von D colour. Just look at that swatch, holy cow! I haven’t ever owned anything by Kat Von D so I was excited to get this. I do associate her with red lips so it makes sense that this would be in here. This is described as a brick red which I would agree with and it is supposed to have a smooth, matte finish. Even while I was swatching these on my hand it dried to a matte finish so quickly so that is exciting! The full size is 0.22 oz and retails for $24 making this worth about $10.91.

This set retailed in Canada for $70 and claimed to have a value of $230 Canadian. By my calculations everything is worth about $214.50 Canadian but my math may be a little bit off. Either way, the value of this is huge! Not only that but there is such a wonderful variety of colours, brands, and types of products in this set. I am absolutely obsessed and have already warned my family that I may be rocking a different colour of bold lip every day. I love this set, I am so glad that I got it, and I think I would ask for the same kind of set again next year if it is available! If you got this set, let me know what you thought of it in the comments! Thanks for reading!

Tarte Bon Voyage

Tarte Bon Voyage

One day at work, my friends and I had some downtime and were looking at the Sephora website to see what holiday sets they had for this year. We found the Tarte Bon Voyage set and it looked really awesome so I decided to ask for it for Christmas. Right after that, my one friend bought it for herself and told me how great it was! I started to think to myself, “Oh no, what if I don’t get it, now that I have seen it I want it so badly!”

I am aware that this sounds greedy, but it is just such a beautiful set and I have been looking for a palette I loved for a long time. I got it for Christmas and I was so absolutely excited to see it! I did my makeup with it that same day and was immediately obsessed. I decided to do some swatches for you guys in case you wanted to see what the colours were like.

I did brush and finger swatches for each colour just so you could see what the difference in pigmentation was. The swatches in the left column of each picture are with brushes, and the ones on the right are with my finger. I took my pictures row by row so that it would be easy to identify. Unfortunately, a couple of the colours are hard for my camera to pick up because they are light but they are beautiful too!

This set comes in the beautiful gold and purple case that can be seen above. It came with the palette which I will discuss further later on. It also includes (from left to right in the bottom of the picture below):

0.06 oz LipSurgence lip tint in Romantic (peachy nude)

0.27 LipSurgence lip gloss in Visionary (apricot)

0.13 oz Deluxe lights, camera, lashes 4-in- mascara

0.17 oz Limited-edition deluxe cheek stain in Muse (soft nude)

0.23 Deluxe Maracuja Oil

0.07 Deluxe Smooth Operator Amazonian clay finishing powder

Tarte Bon Voyage Open

In my bag, the lip tint had come loose and the cap popped off. There was some lip tint in near the zipper and smeared inside the bag a little bit. Fortunately, I don’t use bags like this too often and the lip tint itself was only a little bit dented so no harm no foul!

Tarte Extra Swatches

On the left hand side of this photo is the swatch for the LipSurgence lip tint in Romantic. This was the colour that ended “leaking” (if you will) a little bit inside the bag. Lip crayon type applications are so nice and convenient and this colour is absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to wear this out and about. The middle swatch is the LipSurgence lip gloss and it is quite nice. It is definitely a nice neutral colour and I think it will look great on its own or over carious lip colours. Very happy with this! Lastly, the right hand swatch is the cheek stain in Muse which is a limited edition apparently. Looking at this colour in the tube, I thought it was far too brown. However, after swatching it, I really liked the colour! I am excited to have all three of these products!

Also in the bag were the mascara, the face oil, and the setting powder. I have purchased this on my own before and actually just received it in my December Ipsy bag too. I really like this product, I think it does a great job coating the lashes and really gives a great look to them. I have not tried the oil yet but I am interested to see how it performs. A lot of bold claims are made on the Sephora website about this oil so I would like to see if it it lives up to these claims. Finally, is the setting powder. I don’t typically use setting powder (and didn’t own one until now) because I mostly use powder foundation. I have been trying to use BB creams lately though and have been considering purchasing a setting powder so this was perfect timing!

I am considering all of these things “extras” because what I really was after in this set was the palette. However, even though they weren’t what I was going for, they are beautiful products and I am so happy to have them! Now, let’s look at the eyeshadows!

Tarte Palette

I probably should have waited until I had taken this picture before I swatched everything but I was so impatient and wanted to get into them, so ignore the marks in every colour. The following pictures are in order from the top row to the bottom. I also included both brush swatches and finger swatches. The brush swatches are on the top and the finger swatches are on the bottom, just so you can see the difference in pigmentation. Here we go!

Row 1 Swatches

Row 1 (left to right): Palace of Versaille, Moulin Rouge, I Think I Cannes, my own CĂ´tes du RhĂ´ne, boudoir noir

I am absolutely obsessed with some of the names in this palette! “I Think I Cannes” is one of my favourite names, just because it’s adorable. Unfortunately in the swatches it is really hard to see Palace of Versailles but you can see in the overall palette picture that it is a beautiful soft pink. When I did my makeup for Christmas, I used this as a highlight under my brows and in the inner corners of my eyes. I love this!

Moulin Rouge is more of a taupe with some cool, almost purple undertones to it. I used this as an all over lid colour for Christmas and really liked it. I Think I Cannes is a darker version of Moulin Rouge that has a little more purple in it. It is almost a plum type of colour that is nice as a soft crease colour.

My own CĂ´tes du RhĂ´ne is a dark, beautiful purple colour that I adore. I wore this on the outer corner of my eye and loved it! Finally, boudoir noir is a burgundy type colour leaning towards brown when it is on the skin. I don’t tend to wear super dark colours but with this palette I think that I could make it work!

The first four of the first row colours have a matte finish which I really like because I have been using mostly shimmers from my E.L.F palette (which does not compare, obviously!) and I am happy to have more mattes. Boudoir noir is a little bit matte but does have a sort of sheen to it, like a satin finish. Since neutrals and purples are the colours I steer towards anyways, the first row is kind of my comfort zone.

Row 2 Swatches

Row 2 (left to right): fall in Louvre, Provence upon a time, Eiffel for you, too haute to handle, Bastille in the night

Fall in Louvre is another colour where you can’t really see the swatch. This colour is a peachy apricot shadow that does have a little bit of satin sheen to it. It is a really pretty colour and would be nice for a warm eye base. Provence upon a time is a brown-gold kind of colour that isn’t quite a shimmer but does have some shine to it. It is really pretty!

Eiffel for you is another one that I absolutely love the name of! This is a deeper brown kind of colour that almost has a slight greenish-grey undertone to it. This one has a matte finish and is very pretty (although I say this about all of them). Too haute to handle is a bronze kind of brown that also isn’t shimmery but has a shine to it. Finally in this row is Bastille in the night which is a dark brown with the same sort of finish as too haute to handle.

I really like all of the colours in this row too! I can’t wait to play around with the darker colours to see if I can actually make them work without having clown face.

Row 3 Swatches

Row 3 (left to right): Chantilly lace, merci you later, no Champagne no gain, take on Bordeaux, French Riviera

In the pan, Chantilly Lace is a beautiful beige with a shimmer to it. When I apply it onto my skin, the beige is so light that I can hardly see it, and there is more of a beige type shimmer left behind. I do think this is really pretty though and I think it could help add a little something something to your eyes! Merci you later is a nice warm taupe that goes on with a matte finish. I think this is a colour that I will get a lot of use out of!

No Champagne, no gain is a metallic gold that leans towards brown. I think that because it doesn’t come out as like a foil kind of metallic, it will definitely be wearable. Take on Bordeaux is a beautiful deep brown that almost leans towards the burgundy side. It has a satin type finish and although it’s quite dark, I am going to try and use this because it’s lovely. Finally for this row is French Riviera which is a frosty kind of moss green I would say. When I saw this online, I thought that I would never wear it. However, after swatching it, I think it is one of my favourite colours in the palette.

This row has some colours that I wouldn’t naturally reach for but that I find absolutely stunning and can’t wait to use!

Row 4 Swatches

Row 4 (left to right): c’est la vie, Marseille the word, play Nice, on a good Notre Dame, Le Cordon Bleu

First we have c’est la vie which is a very shimmery, metallic kind of gunmetal (maybe?) with an almost pink undertone to it. This one has quite a bit of shine to is and applies kind of thinly so i would be afraid of fallout but I do love this colour so I am interested in trying it. Next is Marseille the word which is a slightly darker and less shimmery version of the c’est la vie. I think this colour is really pretty!

Play Nice is a purple leaning towards the grey side of things. It is really pretty but I think I would need to use this one a little bit sparingly. On a good Notre Dame is a black that is mostly matte. I still haven’t ever figured out how to wear black eyeshadow, and can’t do a smoky eye to save my life. I may try and use this one in teeny tiny amounts to darken up a look for a night out. Finally, the last colour in the palette is Le Cordon Bleu which is a dark bluish purple that is mostly matte. This didn’t go onto the skin nearly as dark as I thought it would and may be a nice purple alternative to the black shadow.

This row is the one that scares me in this palette. I don’t typically wear very dark shadows and so I don’t know how to apply them in a subtle kind of way. Fortunately for me, with this palette I can play around with them to see what I can do!

Now it is time for overall impressions. If you have read this far than you can probably assume that I am absolutely obsessed with this entire set! I am so happy with all of the “extra” products and can’t wait to use them. As for the palette, I absolutely love the packaging! It is thin and sleek, and the design is beautiful. The actual colours are so pretty and they just feel buttery and soft. I am so excited to play around with it. This was a limited edition set so it probably won’t come back in stock but if they offered up the same type of thing next year I would probably purchase it! That is all for this review, thanks for reading!

24 Days of Tea: Day 24

admin-ajax (17)

!!! SPOILERS !!!

If you do not want to know the types of tea or order that the teas come up in this advent calendar than don’t read any further 🙂

admin-ajax (18)

For those of you who don’t know, this is a loose leaf tea advent calendar made by the Canadian tea company, David’s Tea. Each day has a different tea flavour that comes in a little tin and can make about 2-3 cups of tea per day. It is my mom who drinks the tea so these will be her opinions about the tea itself.

The day has finally come (only 4 days late) for our very last tea of our calendar! Let’s see which flavour it was:

Santa's Secret

Santa’s Secret

Ever wonder how Santa manages to deliver all those presents in just one night? Well here’s the hush-hush formula. He uses a special combination of Chinese black tea, peppermint leaves and spices – all sprinkled with real little candy canes. It’s both energizing and remarkably soothing. All Santa needs is one cup and his motto changes from “ho ho ho” to “go go go”.

Ingredients: black tea, peppermint, sprinkles, natural and artificial flavouring.

How to Prepare: 1.5 tsp, 98°C (208°F), 4-6 minutes

Santa's Secret Tea Ball

One thing we really liked about this tea was the cute factor of the little candy cane sprinkles in the mix. It just adds a nice little touch. I have to say that I really liked the smell of this tea. I don’t think any of the peppermint teas we have had have been black so it was interesting to see the difference. This smelled like a much sweeter, more candy-like mint than the other ones we have had. If you have read my other David’s Tea posts, you will know that my mom is not a fan of mint teas so I didn’t think she would like this one.

Santa's Secret Steeped

This was apparently quite a sweet tea with just a hint of mint, nothing like the other mint teas we have come across through our 24 Days of Tea. It still wasn’t one of moms favourites though so I think that she is going to give it away. I was kind of hoping this might be the one that changed her mind about some minty teas but no such luck. That is okay though, no harm in trying.

I do have to say that I am a little bit sad the 24 days are over. It has been really fun after dinner every day (or at least most days) being excited about which kind of tea we would get that day. I also think I was way too excited considering I don’t even drink tea, but it was nice to see mom so enthusiastic about it. I think that this is definitely a wonderful introduction to loose leaf teas and an amazing way to try many different flavours without investing too much money.

I think that this is something mom would probably do again and something I would really enjoy blogging about again. It was tough to keep up with it on a daily basis but I was glad to do it. Thank you so much to everyone who kept up with my 24 Days of Tea posts and I hope you will find some other posts of mine to enjoy!
