Beauty Joy Box February 2015

Now, it should be mentioned that my Beauty Joy posts have been absent for awhile. I have had some issues with shipping and what not so it has been a bit of a process. My January box was never sent. I had contacted them and they said it was re-sent but after a couple weeks without hearing anything, they ended up refunding me. We had some trouble with the shipping of this box too so it got to me pretty late.

Anyways, on to what this box is all about. The cost of this box is $15 a month with free shipping within the US. There is an extra $5 shipping fee to Canada and $10 to ship internationally. Each box ships on the 15th of the month so for those of us in Canada, that means receiving it relatively late in the month (November 24 for this particular month). Each box comes with 1 jewelry item, 1 full sized beauty item and 2-3 deluxe sized samples. Let’s see what came in the February 2015 box.

IMG_20150312_151605

This box was re-sent which is why it took so long and I am assuming that is also the reason I didn’t get an informational card in the box. Fortunately, I was able to look at other blog posts for pictures of the card to find out the values of each product.

IMG_20150312_151808IMG_20150312_151848

LipFusion Micro-Collagen Color Shine Lip Plumper ($38)

The colour that this lip gloss came in is called Bare. You can see why from the swatch picture above. It is definitely a nude which doesn’t really provide a colour on my lips, more of just a shine. Lip gloss isn’t my favourite kind of product because of the stickiness and I certainly can’t imagine paying $38 for a lip gloss. I didn’t notice any real plumping effects but I did feel the tingle. I am kind of neutral on this product, it isn’t bad but I would have preferred a nude lipstick.

IMG_20150312_151931

Silver Plated Heart Locket Necklace ($20)

This isn’t necessarily my favourite piece of jewelry but it isn’t bad. I’m not sure if it’s worth $20 or not because it does feel a little light and cheap but I may wear it at some point. It is a little bit rattly when it is hanging around my neck so we will see if that drives me crazy or not. I do really like the patterning on the front of the heart though.

IMG_20150312_151741

Alexandra de Markoff Balancing Cleanser ($3)

From what I can tell, other people who received the February box only received one of these cleansers so my value is actually $6 instead of $3. I have been using one of these are my shower cleanser lately and it definitely does do a good job of cleaning my face. It is a cream cleanser and it doesn’t foam so it kind of feels like I am rubbing lotion on my face in the shower which is a strange sensation. It does its job though for sure!

IMG_20150312_151703

Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizer ($1.75)

This is another product in the box that I think everyone else only got one of. I really like the hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works so I’m definitely not sad to have gotten two of them. My value for these is actually $3.50 instead of $1.75. I think that there was an assortment of different scents people received which is always fun. I received Jungle Passionfruit and Blue Skies & Blooms. Jungle Passionfruit is pretty good, definitely one I would have bought myself.

It was kind of funny because the day I got this box, I had been at Bath and Body Works that morning. While I was there, I had pointed out Blue Skies & Blooms because it sounded like it would smell great. I am happy that I have it because it smells great!

This box isn’t my favourite by any means but it isn’t bad.  The box value for this month was $67.50. I do have to say that after the frustration with all the shipping, I ended up cancelling my subscription. I had already paid for my March box so I have that one and that will it for awhile at least. I’m going to be unsubscribed for at least a few months and see if I really miss it. In the mean time, I have a couple other subscriptions I will be trying out to see how I feel about them.

The prices vary depending on the type of box that you get and can range from $15-$80 I believe. Most of the regular boxes are $23 and then you also have to pay $6.99 shipping for each box. IMG_20150217_134420

This will be my very last Memebox unboxing/review which definitely makes me sad. I know that I received this box a few weeks ago but actually writing up my last unboxing makes it feel more real. Anyways, let’s see what came in this box.

Shara Shara Berry Berry Cleansing Sherbet 70g ($14)

Sorbet doesn’t just melt in the mouth, this Berry Berry Cleansing Sorbet melts on your face! It’s the perfect filling to go inside your favourite chocolate, but you’ll be able to massage this sinful delight into your skin! Designed to gently remove  even the most stubborn makeup, this sweet cleanser dissolves makeup, impurities, and oil without irritating or drying out the skin.

This has the same kind of cleanser texture as the Zero cleansers do and I really enjoy them so I think I will really like this! it has a nice scent to it so that is nice. I have really been liking these oil cleansers for taking off my makeup because they just make it easier! I am working on another oil cleanser and the moment but I look forward to trying this!

IMG_20150217_134937

Elizavecca Aqua Rising Steam Filler Moisture Cream 100g ($46)

Nope! It’s not the filling to your post-dinner dessert! This moisturizer, aka Gelato Cream, is a sweet remedy for soothing and moisturizing the skin! It uses a unique steam technology to provide a surge of a hyaluronic acid, minerals, and vitamins to instantly nourish stressed, dry skin. This ultra hydrating facial-in-a-jar has a chewy marshmallow gelato texture that instantly absorbs into the skin to deliver a powerful dose of hydration, and creates a protective shield over the skin to keep moisture and nutrients in and environmental stressors out! The results? You’ll see noticeable improvements in skin’s texture and supple, refreshed skin.

This is my first Elizavecca product and I am really happy to have it because I have heard Meme fans rave about their products. I have also heard some awesome things about this cream in particular so that makes me even more excited to use it. I do have to say that this is one weirdly described texture. I have never heard a cream described as having a “chewy marshmallow gelato” texture but we will see what it’s like. I’m not going to open it up until it’s time to use it.

IMG_20150217_135051

Rappol Nutritious Bio Ampoule Mask 27ml x 3 sheets ($18)

These unique facial sheet masks contain sweet  and savoury pomegranate, and Cleopatra’s secret to her legendary beauty, hibiscus flower extract. The micro-fiber material is saturated with a blend of sweet ingredients to help diminish wrinkles and fine lines and maximize brightness and evenness in the complexion for a youthful look all around. The intense formula delivers radiant results instantly, while reducing existing pigmentation for a breathtakingly beautiful finish. Who knew such candy-sweet ingredients will you give you your radiant glow?

I love me some sheet masks! Not too much i can say about this one other than I love masks and I am excited to use these ones. They sound like the results will be great so I look forward to using them! I’m glad that they gave us three of these and not just one.

IMG_20150217_135134

Lassie’el Kiwi Brightening Yogurt Massage Mask 12g x 4 ($6)

Brighten and perfect your complexion with this sweet and refreshing kiwi and yogurt twist! Kiwi and yogurt flavours are extremely popular candy flavours in Korea, and can be easily found in candy baskets and gift boxes during the Valentine’s season in Korea. Now, take this sweet mix, infused with real kiwi extracts, yogurt, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E to brighten, correct, hydrate, and firm saggy skin for your best skin ever!

I have received this mask before in a black raspberry yogurt formula and I really like it! One thing that I love about these masks is that they come with a lid so that you don’t need to waste it. I think I can get 2-3 uses out of each pack so that lid really comes in handy! I’m excited to try the kiwi formula!

IMG_20150217_135233IMG_20150217_135314

Etude Sweet Recipe Candy Stick 2g ($5)

Enriched with bilberry, sugar cane, sugar maple, orange and lemon extracts, the Sweet Recipe Candy Stick is a loss type lip tint that moisturizes and plumps up your dry, chapped lips for a long-lasting radiance.

Last but not least we have this lip tint. I’m pretty sure this came in a Memebox before I started buying them but I have never received one before. There were three possible scents/colours for this box: seedless strawberry candy, oh! orange candy or sour lemon candy. I received the seedless strawberry version and I am pretty happy with it. I was surprised by how much colour it actually put off and the scent is quite nice! I look forward to using this!

I am surprisingly happy with this box. I bought it because it was part of the bundle but thought that it might just be cutesy stuff that I didn’t really care about. I was surprised at how nice the products in the box were. I paid $25 for this box and the total retail value is $89. I am glad I bought this one so I have mixed feelings of happy and sad because this is the last box.

Sorry I don’t have any coupon codes for you but if you would like to check out their website and make a purchase (until February 10 for everybody or anytime for China, Korea, and US residents), than you can do so at http://us.memebox.com/

Memebox Find Your Signature Scent

Signature Scent

What’s your signature scent? Committing to one scent can be hard for most women. This box, packed with a variety of mood-enhancing aromas that will help you to relax and take a break from all the stress! Why limit yourself to one fragrance when there are so many to choose from?

If you have not heard of Memebox, it is a Korean beauty box that contains a variety of skin care, makeup, and other beauty products. There are several types of boxes, including: memeboxes, superboxes, nakedboxes, and boxes that are set around a particular theme. The prices vary depending on the type of box that you get and can range from $15-$80 I believe. Most of the regular boxes are $23 and then you also have to pay $6.99 shipping for each box. IMG_20150217_134326

I ordered this box because I thought there would be some cool scented products and some perfumes in here, let’s see what came in the box and what I thought of it!

IMG_20150217_141002IMG_20150217_141035

IMG_20150217_141156

Bellespiani Boutique Cleanser Rose 100g ($41)

This gently skin brightening cleanser powered by real rose petals dissolves away makeup, oil, and impurities and exfoliates skin naturally to uncover even, luminous skin. Real bits of rose petals gives a subtle rose fragrance and also acts as natural exfoliant to cleanse away all makeup and oil residue to leave the skin cleansed, refreshed, and glowing. Also, the pH 5 formula makes it a great daily cleanser gently enough for daily use.

This was the spoiler for this box which did sound nice, although not exactly the kind of scented product I had in mind. I can’t imagine paying $41 for this little jar of cleanser but we do know that Memebox retail prices tend to be inflated. I don’t usually open products that I don’t need at the moment but since this was a scent box, I figured I should be able to actually comment on the scents. I do enjoy the scent of this one. It has a super unusual looking texture but I think it will be nice. It is noted on the card that this is best before December of 2015 which is a bit disappointing but since it is pretty easy to use cleansers up quickly, this shouldn’t be a big issue.

IMG_20150217_141325IMG_20150217_141346

Yahah Auto Lip Crayon in Pink Holic 2.5g ($10)

This super sweet and fruity scented lip crayon glides on effortlessly and wraps lips in sinfully sweet scent and highly pigmented colour. The hydrating formula is packed with rose hip oil, avocado oil, and macadamia seed oil to plump and perfect, for more lovely lip. The high-pigment colour stays put – no smudging or bleeding – making sure your lips are on point throughout the night.

I actually really love the colour of this lip crayon. I’m not sure if it will live up to the promises of no smudging or bleeding because I haven’t worn it on my lips yet, but it definitely is pigmented. I wasn’t expecting the smell to be great but it actually is! It is a nice berry type smell that I really enjoy!

IMG_20150217_141432

Innoface Alie Vera Soothing Gel 100ml ($18)

This refreshing aloe vera scented gel is formulated with fresh aloe vera, trelahose, parsley, and broccoli extract, this portable, soothing gel soothes sunburns, windburns, razor burns and other minor irritations. It can also be used as a daily moisturizer for those that suffer with oily skin. Use it on the face to speed up the recovery process for acne and other blemishes, or just to keep yourself refreshed throughout the day, never have this portable gel out of sight.

I have to say, this one irritates me a little bit. First of all, I think they are overstating how much people use aloe vera in day to day life. I personally only use it when I have a pretty bad sunburn which in the middle of winter, does not happen for me. Secondly, I would not consider this to be a product that fits the scent theme really. I don’t know anyone who wears aloe gel so that they can smell like aloe vera. Finally, this little pot is definitely not worth $18 so I think for the most part, this is a miss for me. I may find some use for it in the summer but I’m not sure, hopefully I won’t be getting any bad sunburns.

IMG_20150217_141553

Secretkey Glam Romance Perfume Body Lotion 180ml ($16)

This beautifully scented, creamy body lotion has a beautiful musky scent that is enriched with macadamia nut and aloe vera extracts to soften, moisturize, and rejuvenate the skin. Plant extracts in the formula deeply nourish, help improve skin elasticity and smoothness, and provide head-to-toe hydration. It contains a proprietary blend of natural oils, emollients, extract, and oils known to soften and revitalize dry, tired skin.

I think that they were on the right track with a scented body lotion and this definitely could have been a hit. However, I do not find musky scents to be beautiful at all. I personally dislike them quite a bit so this scent really isn’t for me. This is just a personal preference though, I’m sure some people find the scent to be very nice, it just isn’t for me unfortunately.

IMG_20150217_141705

X.O.X Kisses Mist 30ml ($4)

This product was randomly selected from green tea, floral, rose bouquet, peppermint, fruity, or lavender. I received the peppermint version which is just a plain packaging knock off of Red Bull holy moly. I probably would have preferred the fruity or lavender version of this. The peppermint is very strong and I wouldn’t want to smell like it but maybe I can use it as a kind of aromatherapy or something when I’m not feeling well. This bottle actually had leaked all over my box too when I received it so a far amount of the product was actually lost.

Overall, I think that Memebox kind of missed the mark on this one in terms of the actual theme. I think that a lot of people were disappointed in the fact that this is a scent box and not a single actual perfume type product was included. I think I was disappointed because the scents all seemed to be drugstore, plain types of scents and I think they could have done a much better job curating this one. For this box, I paid about $25 and the total retail value was $89.

Memebox Detox & Renew

Detox & Renew

The cold weather months leaves us susceptible to get lazy on our skincare routine! But, did you know? The constant switching back and forth between central heating and frigid winds causes excessive dead skin build up and increases the rate at which pore-dwellers multiply and grow! While “the more the merrier” applies to most things in life, the growing party of pore-dwellers is never fun, and is definitely not a beautiful sight! To help you in your skincare predicament, we bring you our newest Detox & Renew box, perfectly curated to eliminate the deepest skin toxins, remove dead skin cells, clarify congested pores, and alleviate damage from internal and external aggressors. Each product in this box is a one-stop solution on its own, addressing everything from large pores and clogging to brightening cloudy skin! Take this box, your one and only solution for lustrous and healthy skin, use after use!

You have to keep an eye on the shipping dates for each box because it can be months away, that way you aren’t frustrated wondering why the shipping takes so long. IMG_20150217_134345

This is one of my last Memeboxes. I purchased it because this has been an especially cold winter and I thought it would be nice to have some extra revitalizing products. Let’s see what this box came with!

IMG_20150217_140245IMG_20150217_140328

IMG_20150217_140439

Gu:aam Method Black Pearl Protein (Conchiolin) 35 Whitening Serum 60ml ($30)

This lightweight skin-renewing serum is formulated with bifida, AHA, and black pearl protein to help support the natural cell renewal and toxin elimination. Powerful black pearl proteins eliminate toxins and dead skin cells in the skin and enhance the skin’s natural healing cycle to detox and renew the skin’s surface. The results? Skin is decongested, skin-pollutants are removed, and skin is left looking brighter and firmer, more radiant, and youthful-looking. Free of chemical preservatives, artificial fragrance, artificial colours, mineral oils, silicon oils, sulfates, parabens, and EDTA.

Considering how many Memeboxes I have gotten, I have surprisingly few serums stored away. This definitely sounds nice because every day I find myself battling dry skin in some form or another. It would be nice to get rid of all those dead skin cells and help it to heal a little bit. I am still using the serum from my Soothing Sista box but I will tuck this away to use later.

IMG_20150217_140528

Yadah Anti Trouble Bubble Cleanser 150ml ($27)

Anti Trouble Bubble Cleanse has a foaming formula that delivers gentle acne medication and improves skin’s appearance. It uses salicylic acid technology provides a long-acting acne treatment that continues to fight acne and blemishes while herbal extracts soothe and bind moisture to skin to optimize hydration and restore suppleness. The micro bubbles helps to detoxify the pores by clarifying dirt and oil build up in the pores. It also helps to control excess oil secretion to prevent breakouts. Approved by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety administration, this cleanser is recommended as a step one cleanser in acne regime.

I don’t suffer from acne but I do occasionally have little breakouts, which for me is a couple zits across my face. However, maybe using this type of cleanser will help prevent even those small breakouts from happening. I have so many cleansers at the moment that I am using in order of expiration date so this will join the rest of them in storage until it’s turn comes along.

IMG_20150217_140642

Mayn Bio Mineraltox Mist 100ml ($44)

Skin looking dull, tired, lifeless? Makeup looking cakey and not setting in? Bio Mineraltox Mist refreshes, detoxifies, and rejuvenates the skin with detoxifying lemon balm, apple mint, royal jelly, and more and propriety “secret beads” made with ions and mineral water. The micro mist instantly purifies, brightens, clears, and invigorates the skin cells that have been damaged by external aggressors such as dust, alcohol consumption and more for clearer pores, and plumper skin cells, the perfect canvas for absorbing skincare products and makeup.

I haven’t tried this over makeup yet, although I really want to. I have just sprayed it on my plain face though and it really does feel quite refreshing. The smell is a little odd and I can’t put my finger on what it is but I do enjoy this product. I don’t think I would ever pay $44 for it but I am happy to have received it in this box!

IMG_20150217_140819

Araon Detox Skin Essence 100ml ($34)

This detoxifying skin essence features a blend of naturally detoxifying ingredients to eliminate even the deepest skin toxins, giving the skin a brighter, more even toned complexion. Formulated with maple water, green tea extract, and other skin detoxifying and renewing ingredients, this essence smooths, plumps, and detoxifies for luminous skin that appears visibly renewed.

For 100ml, this package feels weirdly light, almost like it is empty. However, that could just be because they used really light packaging instead of a glass bottle or something similar. Who knows, I guess I will find out when it comes time to use this because I do not want to open this and not use it for awhile. I kind of like how simple the packaging is and think it makes it look rather sleek.

IMG_20150217_140915

Esthetic House Vitamin 3000 Vitamin B Vita-Capsule Cream 30ml ($24)

This skin-renewing vitamin B cream helps to sooth irritated and inflamed. The innovative encapsulation technology allows for an effective delivery of pure potent vitamin B to soothe irritated skin, and calm red, inflamed skin. Layer individually or blend with daily moisturizer to provide optimal results and create a powerful, multipurpose product – designed to treat your skin’s unique needs.

I feel like from the description, this may be a good product for when you are sick and get what I like to call “kleenex rash” around your nose. I find in the winter I am sick more often than any other time of the year and around my nose is so irritated, so it might be nice to see if this would help! My skin isn’t super irritated all that often so this may last me a long time.

I am pretty happy with this box! I paid $29 for this box (may have been less with coupons but I can’t quite remember) and the value of the box is a whopping $159. I think there are some great skincare products in here that I can’t wait to try!

Sorry I don’t have any coupon codes for you but if you would like to check out their website and make a purchase (until February 10 for everybody or anytime for China, Korea, and US residents), than you can do so at http://us.memebox.com/

Memebox Seeds & Flowers

Seeds & Flowers

Congratulations guys! We made it through the brutal winds, freezing temps, and cold, cold winter! And now, we’re about to sail smooth into warmer spring season, but as the weather changes, so too should your skincare regime. With the warmer spring season bringing in a mix of gentle breezes and sunnier days, we also invite pollen, dirt, and stronger sun rays to rampage our skin and body! This box is your ticket to gorgeous, glowing skin all year long! It is literally bursting with goodies that will safeguard you from the beauty perils that come with the sunnier seasons – antioxidant-rich seeds to protect and strengthen, and flower-infused cosmetics to soothe and heal, for a glowing complexion that will be the envy of all!

You have to keep an eye on the shipping dates for each box because it can be months away, that way you aren’t frustrated wondering why the shipping takes so long. IMG_20150217_134456

I got this box in a 3 box value set to get the express shipping. This set was the last order I made with Memebox which is sad. The description of it definitely appealed to me even though we are nowhere near past winter here in Ontario. Let’s see what we got!

IMG_20150217_141804IMG_20150217_141814

IMG_20150217_141855

Yadah Pure Green Emulsion 120ml ($21)

Packed with rosemary, chamomile, royal jelly, and prickly pear, this hydrating emulsion contains powerful antioxidants that stimulate microcirculation in the skin and help skin to maintain optimal levels of hydration. Chamomile and rosemary enrich this quick-acting formula to soothe and calm the skin, and royal jelly forms a protective hydration coat over the skin’s surface to lock in moisture and nutrients in the skin.

How to Use: On clean skin, take 2 to 3 pumps of emulsion and massage into the face and neck. Use daily, morning and night.

This is my first (and last) emulsion from Memebox. The description sounds pretty nice! Since it is so cold here, I could use some soothing and hydration. I have been using it for a little while now and even though I’m not sure what it’s doing yet, it hasn’t broken me out so full speed ahead!

IMG_20150217_141929

EChoice Perfume Body Mist Dear Iris 120ml ($4)

This refreshing perfumed body mist lightly scents the skin with the clean, beautifully feminine scent of Iris flowers while providing hydration and antioxidant benefits. The fresh fragrance captures the citrusy top note, floral middle note, and a sensuous base note to lift the spirits! Never overpowering or overwhelming, the subtle fragrance hydrates the skin and enchants the spirits with lovely florals.

This scent is definitely a drugstore brand type of body mist scent, nothing really special. I know they talk about all the different notes but all I smell is the floral component. This definitely isn’t my favourite product but I’ll use it, probably as a linen spray before bed.

IMG_20150217_142049

Sevendrops Moringa Light Sunblock 50g ($38)

This fast-absorbing, ultra-lightweight fluid provides daily protection against broad-spectrum UVA/UVB damage. Miraculous moringa tree extract combined with antioxidant-rich nutrients and UVA/UVB protecting actives to delay signs of aging caused by sun and environmental stressors. Moringa extract, a beauty essential to ancient kings and queens, was part of daily beauty routine due to its hydrating and repairing abilities. The sheer formula has a silky texture and weightless feel, designed to apply smoothly on top of other skincare products and under makeup for a soft, matte finish.

I received a couple of samples of this in my Boxing Day 2 box but I haven’t actually tried it yet. I’m not sure what ingredients make sunblock good or bad but I’m sure this will be fine! I am still using another sunscreen but I will get to this at some point! This isn’t super exciting but it’s definitely useful!

IMG_20150217_142126

KSkin Rose Moisture & Nutrition Facial Cream 100ml ($8)

This facial cream is formulated with Bulgarian rose, trelahose, and a range of ingredients that moisturize and brighten the complexion. Bulgarian rose, a natural source of vitamin C, helps repair the look of fine lines and skin discolourations, and provides continuous moisturization by regulating the moisture equilibrium of the skin.

I am not super thrilled with this one. An $8 facial cream may not be the best quality. I know that may sound snooty of me but compared with all of the high end facial creams Memebox has included, this seams sort of cheap. However, cost isn’t everything and this could be some holy grail product. Only one way to find out and I have other creams to use up before this one.

IMG_20150217_142215

Enesti Rose Hip Oil Foaming Cleanser 120ml ($15)

Deeply cleanse skin and lift away impurities with this luxurious rose hip oil infused cleanser. Powered by the rose hip oil and mineral water, this non-drying formula bursts into a rich lather when activated with water to deep-clean pores, instantly refresh skin, and give you a naturally luminous glow. With gradual use, you’ll notice that skin is brighter, smoother, and younger look.

I am pretty happy with this. I definitely don’t have any shortage of cleansers but I have been happy with the Enesti products I have tried so far so I look forward to trying this. Hopefully it actually is non-drying because I do not need dry skin. I am using my products in order of expiration date so I’m not sure when I will get to this one.

Purederm Lavender Collagen Pulp Mask 18ml ($2)

100% pure pulp sheet-type masks, this famous Purederm Pulp Masks addresses the most common skincare concerns such as aging, dullness, rough textures, irritation, and dryness. When used regularly, this lavender infused mask will deliver deep nutrition and replenishment to tired, sensitive skin and help maintain a healthy, glowing complexion.

I love a good sheet mask! I’ve never tried a pulp mask from Purederm but other Purederm masks that I’ve used have been really nice! Hopefully this actually smells like lavender, it may make for a nice before bed mask! I’m happy to have this.

I am relatively happy with this box! There are a couple of products that I am so-so about but overall I am pleased that I bought it. I paid $25 for this box and the overall value of the box was $88 which is decent!

Sorry I don’t have any coupon codes for you but if you would like to check out their website and make a purchase (until February 10 for everybody or anytime for China, Korea, and US residents), than you can do so at http://us.memebox.com/

Memebox Cleanse Morning & Night

Cleanse Morning and Night

If you want to achieve that beautifully radiant Korean glow, removing makeup is ALWAYS more important than actually putting it on! Rule of thumb is, if you spend 20 minutes slapping on makeup, you should spend the same amount of time, maybe even more, cleaning it off! Regardless of your skin type, cleansing is the most important step in the game of Korean skin care! Don’t waste your time running down the aisles trying to find your perfect cleanser because we’ve curated the best morning and night cleansing routine-in-a-box to help you get glowing down to the pore!

You have to keep an eye on the shipping dates for each box because it can be months away, that way you aren’t frustrated wondering why the shipping takes so long. Please be aware that Memebox will no longer be shipping internationally. They will only ship to addresses in China, Korea, and the USA as of February 10 2015.

Shara Shara Dream of Moisture Cleansing Oil 150ml ($13)

This effective, deep cleaning cleansing hydrates skin while it removes makeup and skin impurities. It provides essential hydration and nutrition for with sweet almond oil, avocado oil, argan oil, honey extract and more healthy ingredients to cleanse the skin’s surface and renew the complexion, leaving it healthy-looking and refreshed. Ideal for all skin types, the non-greasy texture leaves skin feeling moisturized – never tight or dry.

How to Use: Rub three to four pumps into dry hands and massage evenly over dry face. Wet the face and massage until makeup is melted away. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and pat dry with a towel.

I’m excited for this one! Other than the Banila Co. Zero, I haven’t tried any oil based cleansers. I definitely haven’t tried an actual cleansing oil so I’m sure this will be nice. I’ve heard good things about Shara Shara skincare so hopefully it lives up to what I heard.

Yadah Pore Refining Foam Cleanser 100ml ($15)

This maximum-strength foaming cleanser leaves skin tingly clean and refreshed. Formulated with egg white extracts, mineral water, and flower water this pore clarifying cleanser controls excessive sebum, removes dirt and oil living deep within the pores, and soothes and refines the skin. The results? Skin is refreshed and purified! Of course, there’s the added bonus of less likelihood of breakouts and blackheads!

I do have a lot of foam cleansers lined up but I certainly won’t turn a new one away. Especially since Memebox won’t be shipping internationally anymore, I need to hoard my Korean cleansers. The fact that this has egg white extracts reminds me of the Skinfood egg cleanser. I like that one so hopefully I like this one too.

IMG_20150130_105921

Calmia Oatmeal Peeling Gel 100g ($14)

This exfoliating grommage gel visibly rolls and lifts away dead skin cells when gently massaged onto skin. Its gentle oatmeal and honey infused formula helps to effectively peel away the dead dermal layer to uncover a smooth and fresh new skin! It also removes impurities and decongests stubborn clogged pores for a youth, radiant look!

How to Use: Apply a generous amount on clean, dry skin. Gently massage in a circular motion to roll, lift, and sweep away dead skin cells. Rinse well with water.

I haven’t tried any grommage style peeling gels before but I have heard a lot about them. The thought of my dead skin rolling away is a little strange but if it works really well than I am all for it! I am excited about the honey aspect of this peeling gel. I look forward to trying this for sure!

IMG_20150130_110036

Bory White Snow Toner 130ml ($35)

This professional toner contains naturally brightening and moisturizing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, licorice extract, and morus alba bark extract to help clarify and brighten up the overall complexion. It contains arbutin, which inhibits the formation of melanin, to help prevent pigmentation and dark spots, and also contains propriety Lipidure to hydrate the skin, leaving skin clear, moist and healthy.

On the packaging of this toner it says “professional use only” which makes me a little bit skeptical. Is it too intense and that’s why it’s for professional use only? I figure that if it wasn’t safe, than they wouldn’t send it in a box but who knows. If it really is a professional toner than hopefully it will be really great!

Neogen Neoday Eye Remover Pencil 2.6g ($16)

This ingenious retractable eye makeup eraser/fixer instantly removes all traces of eye, including waterproof formulas, with its innovative double-ended tip. The oil balm tip uses gentle, non-irritating and skin-soothing ingredients to gently erase makeup, while the sponge tip helps to remove all residue and help tidy up around the eyes.

How to Use: First, use the white oil balm tip to gently rub away any unwanted makeup around the eyes. Second, use the sponge tip to remove unwanted makeup residue and finish up your look.

I am intrigued by this product! I think it could be really cool if it works the way that it’s supposed to. I would be a little worried about the oil getting into your eyes when it is in a more solid form but if oil cleanser works to take off makeup than this should work as well!

I was surprised by this box. I was expecting that this would be entirely filled with cleansers which also made me a little but wary because I can only use cleansers so quickly. I was happy to see a couple of other things and cleansers in various forms. I paid $21 for this box plus $6.99 shipping and the total retail value was $93. Not too bad for a bunch of cleansers! I am happy that I ended up purchasing this one.

K-Beauty Wrap Up 2 Box

O'GCE Pack Set

O’Gce Minus Touch Cooling Nose Pack Set [Cooling Nose Pack 10 pcs + Pore Slim Pad Pouch 10 pcs] ($24)

No more blackheads and oily mess around your noses! The Cooling Nose Pack’s blend of blue menthol, button flower, arnica, and pancratium maritmum extract effectively soothe and cool down dry, irritated nose. Then the Pore Slim Pad’s gently formula based on camellia extracts and witch hazel extracts works to tighten and refresh visibly enlarged pores.

How to Use: Cleanse the nose thoroughly with water. With dry hands, remove the translucent film from the Cooling Nose Pack and place the smoother side over your nose. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes. Peel off from the outer edges. Gently rinse with water or toner. As for the Pore Slim Pad, place it over puffy eyes or nose in the morning for about 10-15 minutes. Remove and follow with toner and emulsion.

I am actually pretty excited to receive this product! I love nose and face strips and haven’t been able to try any Korean strips yet. Not only that, but to get 10 of each the nose and face strips is great! Some boxes might give you only one or two of each, so these will last a long time. I haven’t tried these yet because I don’t like to use them too often but I really do look forward to seeing how they compare with ones I’ve tried before.

Radiance Whitening Cream

Eclado Real Radiance Whitening Cream 40g ($50)

This non-sticky, lightweight formula absorbs into skin smoothly to reduce appearance of dry patches and roughened skin texture and to brighten up dulled complexion. A blend of allantoin, licorice, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, green tea extracts, and portulaca extracts replenishes, softens, and rejuvenates to give skin a healthy glow and youthful radiance.

How to Use: Massage the cream gently all over clean face as the last step to skin care. Pat in with clean hands for full absorbance.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one. Whitening creams as a concept make me a little bit nervous. I have read that Asian whitening creams are more of a brightening product than actual whitening so I hope that is right. If it does work for brightening than it would be nice in the winter when my skin is a lot more dull than the warmer months. I will probably spot test this one before I slather it all over my face.

Mineral Bio Clay Pack

Mineral Bio Natural Mineral White Clay Pack 80ml ($24)

Detoxify, purify, and refine the skin with the power of white clay. Combined with the pore-unclogging and oil-absorbing powers of kaolin and pure mineral water, this detoxifying mask helps to exfoliate dead skin cells and rid the pores of harmful, pore-clogging toxins. It also shrinks enlarged pores for the look of pore-free, porcelain skin, and controls shine for a refined look. All the products from Mineral Bio are greatly acknowledged for high content of natural mineral water which was also approved and categorized by the US FDA as being “High Mineral Content.”

How to Use: Spread the clay pack evenly over clean face. Leave it on for 10-15 minutes. Massage gently with lukewarm water and rinse off. Follow with toner. Recommended to be used 2-3 times a week.

This is another one that I am pretty excited about! I haven’t tried any clay masks up until now. I received this and the Claypatra masks in the Boxing Day #2 box both on the same day so that is awesome! I have heard a lot about what clay can do for your skin so I am interested to see if it can do anything for me. I really hope it can do something for enlarged pores because that is an issue that I deal with.

I.Myss Eye Cream

I.Myss Natural Toc Face Tuning Eye Cream 30 ml ($30)

It’s about time you upgrade your skincare regiment to include things like eye creams – if you wish to maintain your youthfulness for as long as possible! The natural Toc Face Tuning Eye Cream enriched with natural ingredients such as tea tree extracts and argan oil are perfect for those just entering the world of ‘anti-aging’. It’s gently in formula, delivers intense hydration and nutrition, and suitable for daily use because it melts softly into eye contours with a moist, light finish.

I feel a little neutral about this one. I have found an eye cream that I really love and have been using so I don’t really need this. However, when I finish the one that I am using now, I will try it out. There were two options for this cream: tea tree oil and argan oil. I was happy to receive the argan oil option because I think that it will do more for me than the tea tree oil version would. I probably won’t get to this for awhile so I won’t know how it works until later on.

I.Myss Concealer

I.Myss Concealer Swatch

I.Myss Cantabile Stick BB Concealer 1ea ($13)

Cantabile Stick BB Concealer adheres tightly over blemishes or acne scars to provide flawlessly smooth and porcelain-finish coverage. It comes in an easy-to-carry stick type and its moisturizing formula enriched with vitamin E complex helps maintain skin moist and soft.

There were two colour options for this one, #01 Light Beige and #02 Natural Beige. I unfortunately received the #02 Natural Beige concealer which is quite a bit darker than my own skin (as can be seen in the swatch above). It seems that whenever Memebox sends me concealers, I get the colour that is too dark for me. I will have to see if there is a way that I can make this work, but I’m not sure. Maybe I will save it for the summer when I have slightly more colour to my face. Granted, slightly more colour for me just means a little bit less pale.

Xaivita Cleanser

Xaivita+ Goat Milk Skin Care Series: Goat Milk Vitamin Scrub Foam Cleansing 150 ml

This is a scrub foam cleanser containing goat milk and abundant vitamin nutrients to help exfoliate excess skin impurities, dust, dead skin cells, and sebum. It will deep cleanse the face and replenish vitality and healthy glow to your face. Contains no artificial additives thus gently and non-irritating to all skin types.

For this box I received the Vitamin Scrub Foam Cleanser but there were many possibilities for products from the Goat Milk Skin Care Series. The other options were: Goat Milk Bubble Soap (85g), Goat Milk Moisturizing Hand Cream (70ml), Goat Milk Wrinkle Essence (80m), and Goat Milk Bubble Foam Cleansing (150ml). There isn’t a price listed for any of these options but they are all full sized. I think that I would have chosen the essence if I had the choice but what I got would have been my second choice! I have so many cleansers but I am intrigued by the fact that it is a scrub foam cleanser. Hopefully it is actually a scrub type of product and that it doesn’t just have scrub in the name.

I’m actually quite happy with this box! I paid $25 for the box and received products with a retail value of $164 (not including the goat milk cleanser). We will see about the concealer and the whitening cream but I’m sure they will be fine! I’m pretty happy that I bought this one. I hadn’t heard great things about the original K-Beauty Wrap-Up so this was a nice surprise!
