Ipsy January 2015

For those of you who don’t know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly beauty subscription service. The cost is $10 per month plus $5 shipping per month to Canada. When you sign up, you take a little quiz about your preferences and details about yourself and they use that to choose appropriate products for you. Each month you will get a beautiful pink bubble mailer and inside is a cosmetics bag with the products inside. The cosmetics bag is different each month which is kind of cool! You can review products and share on social media in order to get Ipsy points which you can accumulate to buy certain products.

I believe the theme for this month was “Fresh Start” which makes sense since it is the start of a new year. Let’s see what we got in this bag!

January 2015 Bag

The bag itself is this blue on one side and white on the other with a coral kind of zipper. It is alright, not my favourite design but it isn’t bad.

J Cat EyelinerJ Cat Eyeliner Swatch

J.Cat Beauty Fantabulous Gele Eye Liner in Blue Black

Although I have been using mostly liquid liner these days, I am quite a fan of gel liners and the way that they wear. When I swatched this, it stayed put after it had set right until I pulled out the makeup remover. Even when I washed my hands and scrubbed at it with soap it didn’t move so that is nice. My complaint would be that it is blue black which isn’t as wearable for me on a daily basis but I will try it out and see if I can make it work. I am pretty happy with this product.

This is a full sized product and it retails for $5.99.

Manna Kadar Sheer Glo

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Sheer Glo

I tried to swatch this but really it is so sheer that it wasn’t going to show up on camera. Once it is rubbed in, it does give a shimmer when the sunlight hits it. I think that this would be really nice in the spring and summer when glowy things aren’t so out of place. I do appreciate that it is sheer and not pink toned on my skin though. I will be excited to see how this wears!

This sample size is 0.27 oz and is valued at $7.84. The full size is 1 oz and retails for $29.

Nourish Organic Eye Cream

Nourish Organic Renewing Eye Cream

This is a repeat from a previous Ipsy bag but not a product that I have received before so it’s not so bad. Reading through the comments about this product, it seems like people really like it so if it is a good product than that is great! It seems that this cream was not actually sold until January from the company and these were sent out before it began retailing. I believe that they have just called it a different name on the company website but that it is the same as this product. I am still going through an eye cream but I am excited to see if this is worth the hype.

From what I can tell, the product is 0.5 oz in the full size which is the size of this tube as well. If that is true, than this retails for $19.99. Very cool!

Pacfica EyeshadowPacifica Eyeshadow

Pacifica Natural Mineral Coconut Eye Shadow in Ethereal

I received the shade Ethereal and the other option for this shadow was Treasure which looks like more of a bronzed brown kind of colour. It is a little hard to see this colour in the swatch because it is so light. I think that this would make a really nice highlight colour for the inner corner of your eye or under your brow bone! I do have several highlight colours so this will probably last forever. I am intrigued by the use of coconut in the eyeshadow and can’t wait to see if that makes a difference in how it wears.

These eyeshadows are only sold in larger palettes which retail for about $14. I have divided this up and estimated that it is worth $4.67.

Real Techniques Brush

Real Techniques Fine Liner Brush

This was the product that I was most excited for in the bag this month! I have heard so much about Real Techniques brushes and have been wanting to try them but hadn’t taken the plunge. Along with this, I have been considering buying a liner brush. I did have more of an angled brush type of thing in mind but this is awesome too. I was absolutely thrilled when I pulled this out of the bag!

This is a full size product and retails for $6.

I am pretty happy with this bag. It isn’t my favourite that I have received before but it isn’t my least favourite either. I will use (or at least try) all of the products in the bag! The total retail value of the items is $44.49 which isn’t too bad either.

Ipsy December 2014

For those of you who don’t know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly beauty subscription service. The cost is $10 per month plus $5 shipping per month to Canada. When you sign up, you take a little quiz about your preferences and details about yourself and they use that to choose appropriate products for you. Each month you will get a beautiful pink bubble mailer and inside is a cosmetics bag with the products inside. The cosmetics bag is different each month which is kind of cool! You can review products and share on social media in order to get Ipsy points which you can accumulate to buy certain products.

I was kind of hoping that this would be a really exciting bag because it’s close to Christmas and I think they could have included some really awesome stuff. Let’s see what I got!

Card FrontCard Back

 December Bag

The cards for Ipsy bags are kind of useless. They don’t give you any product information, so really they are just there to tell you the theme and how to enter any contests or anything. However, the cards are of good quality so at least there’s that. The bag this month isn’t my favourite, just kind of plain. It does feel quite durable so that would be nice for any kind of travel. The outside of it it black and the inside and the zipper are a deep magenta kind of colour. I also like the little heart on the zipper that says Ipsy.

Alright, let’s see which products I got:

BWC Facial Cleanser

Beauty Without Cruelty A.H.A. 3% Facial Cleanser

This cleanser is soap-free and lightly foaming, and is meant to be used for normal to oily skin. It is paraben free, pH balanced, 100% vegan-vegetarian, and is never tested on animals. I have not tried this yet because I am using another cleanser at the moment but the size is pretty good and it just has a mild, natural type scent. I have normal to dry skin so I’m hoping that this will work okay for me.

This sample size of 2 fl oz. is worth about $2.80 and the full size (8.5 fl. oz) can be purchased for $11.95.

Cailyn Mineral Eye ShadowCailyn Mineral Eye Shadow Swatch

Cailyn Cosmetics Just Mineral Eye Polish

Subscribers who received this eye shadow got the shade Orchid. Orchid is almost an orange gold kind of colour. This eye shadow comes with an applicator wand with a sponge tip. Although I do not typically use sponge tip applicators, I do love it with this product because loose mineral shadows can make such a mess. I tried this shadow out last night and I did like it. It can apply a little heavily but it is great for a night out!

This is the full size product and it retails for $15!

Style Sexy Hair

Sexy Hair 450° Blow Out Heat Defense Blow Dry Spray Mini

This spray is said to protect your hair from temperatures up to 450°. It is also supposed to condition to help create smooth, sleek styles, detangle, and strengthen your hair. It is meant to decrease blow dry time and add shine. I am not super excited to receive hair products normally because I don’t typically use product in my hair. I also blow dry my hair very rarely and when I do it does not take too long to dry it all. I haven’t tried this out yet so we will see how it works out.

This mini size product is 1.7 fl oz. and can be purchased for $8. The full size of the product is 4.2 fl oz. and can be purchased for $18.95.

NYX Butter Balm

NYX Butter Lip Balm

Subscribers could have received this lip balm in the shades Red Velvet (pure red), Parfait (fuchsia with blue undertones), Marshmallow (pure nude), or Lady Fingers (mauve). This balm is supposed to leave your lips feeling supple and hydrated. It is also supposed to add a subtle hint of colour.

I got the shade Marshmallow and when I first saw it, I was so excited because I thought that was the scent/flavour of the balm. Unfortunately, it was the name of the colour. I would have rather had any of the other colours because this is far too brown for my skin tone. Unfortunately I don’t think I will be able to use this for a wash of colour.

This is a full size product that retails for $4.

Tarte Mascara

Tarte Deluxe Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara

This black mascara is supposed to lengthen, curl, volumize and condition your lashes. They promise a 330% increase in lash volume instantly. It is also meant to nourish and protect your lashes. I have purchased this mascara before and really did like it so I am happy to have it again

This sample size is 3 mL and is worth about $10.30. The full size (7 mL) can be purchased for $24.

At first I wasn’t too excited by this bag, but when I looked at the other products that I could have gotten and I think I probably got the best of the bunch. So although I am not super excited about this bag, I’m glad I got the things that I did. The approximate value of this bag is $40.

Beauty Joy Box November 2014

admin-ajax (18)

Ever since I have gotten into subscription boxes, I have wished I could start with  company from their first box. I’m not sure why, probably to see the progression of box quality over time. I can now say that this is something I have done with the Beauty Joy Box. The November 2014 is their “grand opening” box and I am very excited to have gotten it!

The cost of this box is $15 a month with free shipping within the US. There is an extra $5 shipping fee to Canada and $10 to ship internationally. Each box ships on the 15th of the month so for those of us in Canada, that means receiving it relatively late in the month (November 24 for this particular month). Each box comes with 1 jewelry item, 1 full sized beauty item and 2-3 deluxe sized samples.

Sorry for the terrible lighting, it was a dark and gloomy day but I was too impatient to wait to open the box and take the photos.

admin-ajax (19)

The presentation of this box was beautiful! Just the little touches like the bow on the outside of the box and the tissue paper and ribbon inside make it so nice!

admin-ajax (20)

Alright, let’s get started and see what all this great stuff is!

admin-ajax (21)

Handmade Bangle Bracelet with Silver European Beads ($15)

No two are alike, each bracelet is unique and special, just like you!

I think the idea behind this is great. The fact that every subscriber got a different bracelet is so cute to me! When I was subscribing, it was the jewelry that really sold me on the idea because I don’t have much jewelry in my collection. I am really happy to get a bracelet because I never buy them. While looking at reviews, there were some colours that I found even cuter than mine but I do really like this! I can’t wait to go out with some friends so I can wear it.

admin-ajax (22)

Korres Volcanic Mineral Mascara in Obsidian Black ($20)

The blackest, black mascara derived from volcanic soil that increases lash volume by 600 percent.

600 percent is a huge claim! I’m not sure if it will live up to it or not. Korres was our spoiler brand for this month and it is a brand I have never tried before but I am excited to! I only just opened up an Eyeko mascara so I will keep this one sealed up so that it doesn’t expire before I can actually use it.

admin-ajax (23)

Essie Sleek Stick Nail Appliques in Embrace the Lace ($10.25)

One-step nail art looks for intricate, multi-dimensional, spectacularly ornate caviar nails.

I am so excited that I got these! I have been eyeing up the Essie nail strips for a long time but have never settled on a pattern that I liked enough to spend more than $10 on. From what I can tell, Beauty Joy sent out different patterns for this product so the one you got was just random. I am happy with what I got though! I have been into nude nail looks at the moment so I think this will be very nice. In the past, I haven’t been the best at applying nail strips though so here’s hoping I don’t screw it up!

admin-ajax (24)

Avene Cleansing Cream ($2)

A hydrating cleansing cream made with French thermal water to soothe the skin.

Now, one thing I would like to comment on this about is the boxes that were sent out for review. In some of those reviews, this looked like it was both a different cream, and it was double the size of the one that I got. I am hoping that Beauty Joy isn’t sending out “better” products for reviewers than for the people purchasing the box. That being said, the owners have been very forthcoming about the box and seem like they want to do a great job with their boxes so I trust that they are being honest about it.

I have seen people get Avene products before in other subscription boxes so I am happy that I get to try something from this brand! I have also never tried a cleansing cream before, only foams for the most part, so this is also exciting for me!

admin-ajax (25)

Blistex Lip Balm ($1.50)

Filled with anti-oxidant vitamins C & E and rich moisturizers to quench your lips.

This is another product that I think was sent out in a variety of scents/flavours. For some reason, having randomized options like this makes things way more fun for me. I’m aware that this is probably super weird, but it’s fun to see what I get compared to other people! When I saw other unboxings, the Blistex came in the box packaging and mine came loose so hopefully mine is okay. I can’t be too concerned about it because I’ve used it already and it seemed fine.

I got the Five Star Lip Protection which is supposed to hold in moisture, form a wind barrier, provide relief for heat-stressed lips, soothe chapped lips, and has SPF 30 sun protection. Considering it is almost December and it is cold here in Canada, this is a great product! As soon as the weather gets cold, my lips stage a mutiny against me and they turn into a nightmare. This has a vanilla-ish scent (not sure if it is supposed to or not) and feels really nice! Glad I got this in my box.

So, I paid $17 for this with shipping because I had a coupon (normally it would be $20) and the products in the box are valued at $48.75 which is definitely more than I paid for it. Not only that, but I will use every single product in this box which counts for a lot more than just the retail value by itself. I am so happy I decided to purchase this box and can’t wait for my December box. The December box will probably get to me even later in the month because of Christmas but maybe I will get lucky and it will get there just before the 25th for a little Christmas gift 🙂

Topbox November 2014

Okay, so this post may seem a little silly considering that I have cancelled my subscription to Topbox and this will be the last package I receive from them. However, I did not cancel because it is a BAD service, just because it hasn’t been providing me with things I prefer. There definitely are good aspects to Topbox so I do want to tell people about it for sure!

Topbox is a Canadian subscription service that costs $12 per month and ships out on the 15th of the month. It includes four deluxe sized samples that can be make up, hair care, or skin care. I found that it was mostly skin care and this was why I cancelled because I wished it included more make up. There are also extra boxes you can purchase or special sales where you can purchase individual products.

This month, I decided to purchase the Faith Aromatherapy Anti-Oxidant Exfoliating Sugar Scrub in Citrus/Ginger. I got this scrub for $12.19 and it is HUGE. I was not expecting it to be as hefty as it is. The jar has 12 oz of product and it is dense because it is a sugar scrub. I was expecting it to be really citrusy but for the most part I just smell ginger. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing but I was hoping for more of a fresh orange or lemon scent. I will definitely use it, especially before shaving my legs.

admin-ajax (1)admin-ajax (2)

One thing that I really like about Topbox is the card that they provide. On the card, Topbox gives you a description if each item, the retail price, and also where it is available for purchase. This is great so that you don’t have to go hunting for an item if you really like it.

admin-ajax (3)

Topbox also gives you a little survey before they send out each month’s box. It asks you about products you may have received the previous month and it also lets you choose between the tube or an organza bag for your products to come in. This month, I opted for the bag.

admin-ajax (4)

Alright, let’s get started with the products in this month’s Topbox

                 admin-ajax (5)admin-ajax (6)

Eyeko Black Magic Mascara

Designed for after-hours seduction, our ultimate mascara combines three key elements to create drama, volume and curl, packaged into our iconic squeezy tube. $24 Available at Sephora & eyeko.com

I am intrigued by this sample for sure! The design of it and the wand are both very appealing so I am excited to try this. I am just about out of my Perversion sample so I will be trying this next. This sample is .13 oz and the full size it .29 oz so that is a really nice deluxe size, especially for mascara. That makes this sample worth about $10.91 so I am happy with it! I hope it really does volumize my eyelashes.

admin-ajax (7)

Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum

This sheet lightweight liquid serum with micro-caplets helps reinforce skin’s essential moisture barrier, evens skin tone, retexturize, and reduces the appearance of first signs of aging. Rejuvenates the look of tired skin for a more energized complexion. 30 mL $72 Available at Hudson’s Bay and thebay.com

I am interested in trying this. I don’t use any serums at the moment but it might be nice to add it into my skincare routine since winter is basically here and the air is so dry. Not only this but I have been noticing the little wrinkles around my eyes more so maybe this could help with that! This sample is 5 mL making it worth about $12.

admin-ajax (8)

UniqOne All in One Hair Treatment

When UniqOne by Revlon Professional is applied to damp hair, it provides smooth, silky, shiny protected hair without weighing it down. When applied to dry hair, it refreshes the styles, providing a long-lasting, soft and silky finish without weighing it down. 150 mL $19.95. Find a solon at uniq-one.com. Also available at Trade Secrets and Chatters.

This is probably the item in the bag that I am least excited about. I don’t use many hair products (outside of my shampoo and conditioner) because my hair is so fine and long, it is easily weighed down. However, this claims to not weigh hair down so it may be worth trying on my dry hair when it needs a little pick me up. This sample is only 9 mL making it only worth about $1.20 which does not impress me very much. Not only this but on the back of the container it says “Sold in salons – free sample” so I am not thrilled with that.

Benefit Cosmetics Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer

Flawless works overtime! Our instant PRO-long primer acts like a magnet to lock on your foundation for 15 fresh & flawless hours. This invisible stick primer glides directly onto skin for optimal wear and a natural-looking finish. Go longer. Stay flawless! 16 mL $38 Available at Shoppers Drug Mart, Sephora, Murale & benefitcosmetics.com

This month, Topbox posted on their social media that if Benefit Canada got 17,000 followers on Instagram, than there would be a Benefit product included in the November Topbox. Here we are. I am intrigued by this because I have never used a stick primer so I am interested in seeing if it actually works. There is not a ton of product in this sample but I think it should be enough to see whether or not it works the way it should. This sample is 1.2 mL making is worth about $2.85.

The overall value of this months Topbox was $26.95. It certainly is over the $12 price point of the bag/box but it is not above by all that much. I do appreciate the brands that were included this month though. This is only my fourth Topbox and I cancelled after my third month so it definitely isn’t my favourite service. However, I think it is important to try services for a couple of months to see if they are a fit for you. Everyone has different preferences so this could be a really great find for some people.

If you are interested in checking Topbox out, you can find their website at www.topbox.ca

Disclaimer: I purchased this box with my own money and all opinions are honest, and my own.

Ipsy November 2014

Ipsy was my first subscription service. I have received about 6 months worth of bags and I still love it. Although the value isn’t always sky high for these bags, I prefer looking at it in terms of “will I use it?” and “does this excite me?” I found this months bag to be one of the most exciting ones for me yet.

Let’s dive right in!

This months bag is a silver glittery bag with a pink zipper. The bag itself has a plastic feel. The inside is black and the tag for this month says Forever 21 Cosmetics for Ipsy. This was interesting to me, even though it is not my favourite bag that I’ve gotten from Ipsy.

admin-ajax (1)

The theme this month is Girl Meets Glitter.

admin-ajax (2)admin-ajax (3)IMG_20141113_134103

IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer

I received this concealer in neutral medium which is a tad dark for me but I think that I can make it work. It claims to be a full coverage, waterproof, anti-aging concealer that is “8 hours of sleep in a tube.” It also claims that it won’t crease or crack.

If I had to choose one thing that was my biggest concern for me, it would be my dark circles. Mine are genetic so they are impossible to actually cover up or get rid of. It is because of this that I love trying out new concealers to try and find my holy grail product. This concealer is super thick so I am really excited to try it and interested in seeing whether or not it does crease or crack.

This sample size of .11 fl oz is worth about $9.50 and the full size (.28 fl oz) can be purchased for $24.

admin-ajax (4)

Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray

Mehhhh. This is the one thing in the bag that I’m not all that excited about to be honest. I have really fine hair so I steer clear of product most of the time so that my hair isn’t weighed down. I will use this on the rare occasion where I curl my hair and hopefully it won’t be a crunchy hairspray. The smell is like a typical hairspray which, as most of us know, isn’t the most delicious smell in the world.

The full size of this product is 9 oz and sells for $8.29. That makes this 1.5 oz sample about $1.38 which isn’t all that impressive to be honest (not to sound selfish or anything).

admin-ajax (5)admin-ajax (6)

Starlooks Lip Gloss

Subscribers that received this lip gloss got the colour Guilty Pleasure. I am pretty sure this went out in October’s bag too so I’m not sure if they just had extra or if it is a really great product. I do like the colour of this, it is a nice neutral pink that would be great for everyday use. It is a little bit sticky but overall I think I will like this lip gloss.

This sample is .3 oz. The full size sells for $13 but I can’t find a size for that full size so I’m not sure how much this sample is worth. Let’s just guess around $4.

admin-ajax (7)

SeaRx Micro-Dermabrasion Face & Body Scrub for Preventative Aging

This scrub is said to feature minerals and extracts to improve your skin tone and leave your skin firmer after taking off all the dead skin cells and what not. I am a big fan of scrubs so I was excited to see this in my bag. Just trying a little on my hand, the grit is very small and probably wouldn’t be safe for daily use. It smells like grapefruity citrus which I love so woohoo!

This sample size is .3 oz and would sell for about $3. The full size is 100 g and can be purchased for $32. I am excited to try this!

Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Eye Base

This shade is called Submissive and I think it is absolutely beautiful! It reminds me of a less glittery version of the sand brown shadow that I got from The Face Shop in my Memebox. This is a cream shadow and it is definitely very creamy! I don’t own any other cream shadows so I am glad to have this one, especially in such a neutral colour!

This is the full sized product and it sells for $14 so that is quite exciting!

Overall I am really excited about this bag! The value of the bag isn’t very high, at about $31.53, but I will get a lot of use out of the products. Very excited!

SampleSource Fall 2014

So when I wrote my upcoming unboxings post, I completely forgot about my SampleSource box that I had coming in the mail. I don’t know how I could forget because this company and the box they send are so exciting! This is only my first SampleSource box and I am so excited that I have gotten involved with this program.

Some of you may already know what SampleSource is but for those that don’t, it is a “try before you buy” program. When you first sign up, you answer a questionnaire about yourself and your demographics. SampleSource gathers products and sends out boxes 3 or 4 times a year (with the new seasons). When they are ready to send out the new boxes, you will receive an email that asks you a few more questions relating to yourself and also the products that they have available. After going through this, it will list the products they have available that match your profile and preferences. You select which ones you are interested in receiving and 4-6 weeks later you get them in the mail.

Everything that is sent out in these boxes is free to you, all the company asks is that you use the products when you receive them and fill out any surveys that they send you about the products. This is an amazing company and I am so excited to be able to write this post.

Anything else you would like to know about the company and this program you can find at their website http://www.samplesource.comIMG_20141024_144651_edit

Although I did receive everything in this box for free, this will not influence my opinions on the products. In this amazing box I got 17 different samples. 17!!! Can you believe it? Just amazing. Please beat with me since this blog is new, I am working on getting a better camera to use. Until then, the pictures will not be the most beautiful thing in the world. Sorry!

The first product I want to talk about is the John Frieda Full Repair set. This little set came with a sample of the Strengthen + Restore Shampoo which “restores strength without weighing hair down”. It also included the Hydrate + Rescue Deep Conditioner which “weightlessly restores moisture to dry, dull hair for enhanced softness and shine”.

I am pretty excited about these! I definitely have dry hair and my hair is fine so the fact this claims to moisturize without weighing hair down is very exciting! The third panel talks about the Full Repair Repairing Oil Elixir that smoothes, shines, and strengthens. This panel is pretty flat so I’m not sure if it is empty or contains a small sample of the oil. I will have to investigate later and get back to you! These sell for around $9 for the full size of the shampoo (250 ml) and conditioner (115 ml). The oil sells for around $12 in the full size.

IMG_20141024_144736_editThe next sample is another John Frieda product (there are quite a few in this box which is great!). This one is the Sheer Blonde Go Blonder LighteningShampoo. It claims to gradually lighten in 3 uses and it provides shampoo samples for days 1, 2 and 3. It says that it uses citrus and chamomile to lighten and renew hair.

This is very interesting! I am blonde so this is definitely great. It is also ammonia and peroxide free so this makes me happy. I am skipping hair appointments at the moment to try and grow my hair out so this might be a nice pick me up for my hair since I’m not getting my highlights refreshed either. This shampoo sells for around $9 for the full size (250 ml).

The next John Frieda product is the Sheer Blonde Colour Renew Tone Correcting Shampoo. Much like the Go Blonder Shampoo, this is said to change your hair gradually over 3 days and it will take your hair from brassy to blonde. This once again provides samples for days 1, 2, and 3. This one is also ammonia and peroxide free which is great!

A lot of my more blonde colouring is from my highlights but I am not sure if they are brassy. I am really interested in seeing if this will have any colour changing effects on my hair! Very cool that we got so many different types of samples. This shampoo sells for around $9 for a full size (250 ml).

The last John Frieda product in the box is the Secret Weapon Touch Up Crème with avocado oil. It says that it “seals hair to eliminate frizz and flyaways”. The way you use it is to apply it to dry hair. Rub a small amount into palms, pull through hair concentrating on the ends.

I definitely have frizz and flyaways a lot of the time since my hair is long and fine so it is easily messed up. I am really excited about this product! Not only that but 30 ml is a generous size considering you really wouldn’t need to use much product at a time. Total score! The full size (115 ml) of this crème sells for around $9.

This next product is from Jergens and it is the Ultra Care Moisturizer. It says “This unique formula contains an illuminating Hydralucence blend, as well as enriching vitamins C, E, and B5. Penetrates through 5 layers of the skin’s surface to deeply nourish and soften extra dry skin”

I love moisturizers so I am excited to try this. It does not say anything about a scent for this lotion so I am excited to see what it smells like. I will let you know. It also comes with a coupon for $1.00 off of any Jergens Moisturizer that is 100 ml or larger. The full size (775 ml) of this sells for about $8 and that is super inexpensive for such a large product!
IMG_20141024_144901_editThis is the cutest little deodorant. I would say that this is a travel size which is quite generous. This is the Dove Go Sleeveless 48h Beauty Finish Anti-Perspirant with nutrium moisture. I normally use a different type of Dove deodorant so I am really excited that I got this! The scent of this deodorant is just a clean, soap type of smell. Definitely not offensive at all!

The full size of this is 45 g and sells for about $3 so this is definitely a good size sample at 14 g. Very excited about this!

This is a great sample because who doesn’t need toothpaste. I am almost out of my current tube so this came at a great time! This is the Arm & Hammer Truly Radiant Whitening & Enamel Strengthening Toothpaste. It is a Fresh Mint Flavor so hopefully it tastes good!

This sample is 18 ml and the full size (90 ml) sells for about $3.

This sample is a package of 2 Breathe Right Nasal Strips. I have never tried these strips but I definitely could have used them last week since I am just getting over the cold that never ends. I am excited to try them the next time that I have a cold (not that I want to be sick!).

This package has 2 strips but the full size has 30 strips and sells for about $18.

Next we have the Schick Hydro 5 Razor. This razor is typically for men but I find that mens razors sometimes have a closer shave than women’s do and I am not opposed to using them at all. I kind of prefer using them for my underarms! This one has a hydrating gel reservoir and 5 ultra glide blades to reduce irritation. It also has a top part that can flip and be used as a trimmer. This is super cool!

This package has one razor with one cartridge. The retail version comes with an extra cartridge and sells for $10. I was going to pass this along to one of my brothers but I think I am going to keep it for myself.

These are two separate samples from the brand Ice Breakers. The package on the left are the Fruit + Cool Duo Mints in Raspberry. The ones on the right are the Frost Mints in Wintercool. I have tried the Raspberry ones before and they are delish! I am really excited to have them again. The mint ones sound really good too so I can’t wait to try them.

Each of these packages has 2 pieces in them. The full sizes of these are 36 g and sell for $2.

This is a full size chocolate bar. A FULL SIZE?! Can you believe it? I am so excited about this one. This is the Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar with Almonds. I have had these before and they are delicious. I am super happy about getting this in the box. This full size bar is 43 g and retails for about $1.25.

This is the Kellogg’s Special K Cookies & Creme flavour Pastry Crisps. This is a new flavour for Special K and it looks great. Each package is 100 calories for 2 crisps. SampleSource also gave us a $.50 off on a box of these in either the Cookies & Creme flavour or the Chocolatey Caramel flavour. A regular box has 10 of these packages and sells for about $3. Much like everything else in the box, this definitely excites me!

Next up are the Brookside Dark Chocolate Açai with Blueberry snacks. I have had these before and they are really tasty! My mom’s eyes lit up when she saw this in the box so I may have to share these with everyone. This package is 20 g and the full size (595 g) retails for about $9.

When selecting the products to put in your box, you got to choose between Green, Chai, and Earl Grey teas. I’m not a tea drinker and my mom doesn’t like any of these flavours too much so I got the green. A lot of the people I work with like green tea so I figured it would go to good use with one of them. We got 2 tea bags in this box, the full size comes with 20 bags and retails for about $4.

The final product in our box was a Finish Power & Free Dishwasher Pack. Things like this are always handy because with 5 people living in our house, we need to wash dishes a LOT. This will definitely go to good use. The full size of this comes with 16 packs and sells for about $8.

Phew, that was a lot! What a great box. I am so thankful to have received all of this awesome stuff! I think that I will try this stuff out for a little while and come back with a review of the products I got in the box in maybe a week or two. I would definitely recommend this box for anyone who loves to try out a bunch of awesome products and help out great companies!
